How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Parking area is shared with restaurant customers, it might hold you on waiting if the parking space are full.
Excellent location and provides parking space for customers. There’s a MRT station beside the property that you can easily to travel. The lobby is big and comfortable and the staff were very kind. We were luckily to have a room with the city views. The staying was cozy, and you can watch Netflix on TV. Besides, the sound-proofing is very nice, we didn’t hear any noises from other rooms nor the hallway. Breakfast provides different eggs meals, and we were enjoyed. Very awesome hotel.

Nothing at all actually. But if it is necessary to point out any issue, only breakfast. Breakfast is just OK to me.
The best location! Just next to a MRT station. The room is also perfect. It is a historical hotel, and from the very beginning i did not have any high expectation about this hotel. But the hotel surprised me. clean room, bright and clean public space, friendly staff... I pretty enjoy this hotel, and have good experiences during my stay

Room is a little small and mine is a room with no view.
Just next to train station. Room size is cozy and restaurant has 2 options for breakfast. Food at their restaurant is pretty good as well. Toilet seats are warmed up during winter when I stayed.

The staff moved my luggage and personal belongings to another room without notifying me while I was out. Their reason was that the room I had been staying in for the past few days was being upgraded, and today, I wasn't aware I was supposed to move back to a standard single room. I feel that my privacy has been violated, and the unauthorized relocation of my belongings infringes upon my property rights, especially since my lease with the hotel is still valid, and I have not defaulted on any payments. I find it difficult to trust them anymore. I wrote a complaint letter, and the hotel manager apologized and blamed the staff for their misconduct. However, I believe this is an issue with the hotel management, as they seem overly focused on generating profits while neglecting basic legal considerations, which is regrettable. The hotel room manager finally wrote me an email, apologizing and ensuring that such incidents would not occur in the future.
The location is excellent.

Disabled people have to use employee's working elevator to get to some restaurants inside of the hotel.
Location is good and convenience. But hotel is kind of old and needs updating.

Poor hotel. Never again.
Slow . Not able to handle breakfast. They had to check if I stay there, it took so long that I simply gave up to breakfast. Complained at front desk but there even worst... , not able to solve anything :( never again :(

The room wasn’t very clean. There is always some hair on the table. Even after I cleaned it, there will still have some hair on the table the next day after room cleaning. They have 2 kinds of breakfast. One is buffet, the other one is western menu set. I like that they serve breakfast till quite late (10am and 11pm). Yet I tried their western menu set and it was very simple, the taste was ok, a bit disappointing.
The service was really nice, people are kind. They deserve some tips :)

At the check-in, the receptionist told me that they were upgrading me to a larger room. What she did not disclose was that the room is an inside room that has virtually no natural light (the relatively small window leads to a dark internal space only). I could have selected another hotel on booking.com for a better room in this regard at a lower price.
The location is good for my business purposes, but that was the first reason why I was willing to pay a little more for this hotel.

Due to jetlag, I was awake until almost 5am. However, my room was next to their staff space or storage room which turned noisy since 7am.. I heard their staff chatting, their walkie talkie conversation, moving /dropping stuff etc. it was really annoying. I don't think the room is appropriate for any hotel guest because of the poor sound proof. I even heard the rustling noisy of plastic bags when cleaning staff was working. I got another room in the next day and found hair on the towel. the staff was nice and changed all towels immediately, but I would not expect this in a 4-star hotel. a very outdated hotel. facilities, e.g. breakfast space is very old.

A/C machine in my room was very noisy, compared to my previous stays in the hotel. Even wearing earplugs didn't totally eliminate the sound.
Quick check-in, attentive service. Hotel location is great and metro station entrance just a few meters from the hotel lobby.
