Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only things which bothered me a bit , and not the fault of the hotel, was the sonic boom caused by fighter jets. I had my windows closed and it was still quite loud but only for a few seconds. They only flew during the morning and afternoon. I asked the receptionist and she told me it was because there is an airport nearby. Maybe she meant military airport because they were clearly F 16 jets. I was wondering if the Chinese was going to attack the island or it was just training exercises. :) I arrived 2 or 3 hours before check in time. The only place to keep the luggage was in the lobby on the benches where anyone can walk by and take it. There were no secure places to store luggages. By comparisons, the airport hotel near Haneda , where the country is known to be very safe, has self serve lockers and bicycles cables for luggages that don’t fit into the locker. It is a simple solution or at least keep them in a linen room or storage closets. Also , there were 2 times where simply there weren’t anyone by the check in counter. I saw 2 ladies wanted to check out and there was not a single soul in sight . Only after a few minutes passed did a lady showed up. That means the luggages are not under watch ( or at least not physically . Maybe there are cameras and someone was actually watching it ) . Despite all the comments in this section, this hotel is really nice and comfortable and you will get a good night rest.
The entrance to the hotel building is shockingly old . I thought I made a mistake for booking that hotel. There are 2 old elevators that lead up to the hotel. Once the elevator door opens, it is shockingly new and pleasant. You enter into a different 100 % different world. I liked my room because it was well light. I remember there was a chair next to the window that I spent a few hours reading my iPad. The bed was comfortable. The WiFi was strong and the shower good. The location was near many restaurants and a river. I walked to Fort Zeelandia from there.

United StatesThe sports motif almost made us not book because we were afraid this hotel was all schtick and no seriousness, but we should not have worried. This hotel in fact offered high hospitality, the staff were professional, and the offerings were top of the line.
We were pleasantly surprised! The bathroom was spacious, the room had great lighting and very comfortable furniture, and the finishings were clean and modern. Prices were reasonable, and several bus lines were within walking distance. We were very comfortable for our two nights and would book again.

Singaporehotel is located in an old building. taxi driver warned us that the area is in an unsavoury part of town and that we should be more careful when out at night, especially the females in our group. we didn’t encounter any troubles and found our stay to be generally pleasant, but would suggest for solo female travellers to think twice before staying here in light of the cabbie’s advice.

TaiwanThe hotel is in a good location and the rooms are clean and bright. But the flower pot in the toilet has a strong smell of cigarette smoke. It is recommended to remove the flower pot. Also shower floor doesn't drain properly.

GermanyThe only negative point would be the entrance to the hotel. You have to get into a pretty shady building and a old / dirty elevator to get to the hotel. First impression counts. But the staff at the counter was super nice & friendly!
WOW! It needed a trip all around Taiwan to find this gem! What a great hotel, 10 out of 10! Super comfy beds, I had the best sleep within weeks in there! A generous bathroom with a cool rain shower and bathtub. Cool city view. Great interior, very good taste in furniture inside the rooms. The whole storytelling with the sports & games isn't needed in my opinion, but it's fun. English speaking staff. I would give more than 10 points if I could.

SingaporeThe fact that it is housed in an industrial building
Very clean and the room is of a very comfortable size. Booked a quadruple room for my travel companions and the toilet (with bathtub) is so huge. The only downside is it is at the fifth floor of an industrial building. There is however a nice pub called GOIN within 5 min walk and Shennong Street with alot of interesting shops and eateries 7 min walk away.
