By far the worst breakfast we've ever experienced from hotels.

Room was spacious and clean. My kid loved the kids play area so we returned for a second stay but in a different room, this experience was much better than the last. The laundry room was $50 to wash and $50 to dry, it's affordable and convenient.

Everything was great! Nothing to complain about.

We were looking for a place near Chiayi train station to take a morning ride to Alishan Forest Railway. There are several hotels to choose from, but Mega Hotel definitely seems one of the better ones with great facilities, good design, excellent restaurant and very friendly staff. Our modern room was just beautiful, bed very comfortable. Famous Chiayi night market is a short walk away. Traditional Taiwanese breakfast at the hotel was a nice touch – artistically arranged, full of surprising taste experiences. The hotel staff was very accommodating - helping with early check-in and also letting us leave our bags at the reception after check-out until we returned from the Forest Train in the evening.

Location is excellent, within mins walk from TRA station. Only stayed 1 night but they allowed us to store our luggages for 2 nights as we went to Alishan and Xiding. Although the self service laundry is payable, the washer and dryer was big and good!! Water pressure was great and stay was comfortable!!

The rooms were spacious n clean. Little playground in room was fabulous for kids. Toilet n bath was separate. Bed was huge n comfy. Breakfast was also good. There's a games room for kids n u could do laundry at same time. Hotel was close to night Market as well.

Modern, clean large room. While no window in the room I booked. Room was provided with enough lighting. Shower was clean, water pressure was good, with good temperature controls. Walking distance from the train station.

Not complaining but an English menu in the restaurant would be helpful, however waitress and barman assisted with the translation. Really can’t think of anything to whinge about.

Well located just across from the railway station. Very clean, well appointed modern hotel with facilities aimed at families. Large room with very good soft seating and very comfortable bed. Good night stop before venturing into the Alishan mountains, also pleased I could leave my suitcase at the hotel while on my adventure. Breakfast was preordered and turned out to be a combo of Chinese and American style food.

Despite the room appearing clean there was a strong musty/moldy smell throughout our room.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and very close to the train station and shuttle buses which was good because it made getting to and from Alishan very convenient. The hotel definitely targets families with young children, there was a kids activity happening by the elevator on our arrival so it was a little chaotic getting up to our room. We were generally only there in the evenings to sleep so the kids activities didn’t really bother us. There was a little yelling and crying of children in the morning and evenings which could be heard from inside our room which for the most part was not excessive.

There was a sewage smell coming up from the sink. They probably need a sink stopper or part in the pipe under the drain to prevent the smell from coming up.

Excellent location near the Chiayi train station. My family stayed there one night prior to going to Alishan the next morning. The family friendly room with the slide was a hit. The room thought we had a nice size tub and shower area separate in the toilet area. Ample countertop space near the sink. Appreciate the bidet with warm toilet seats with a nice touch. Delicious breakfast included. The playroom ballroom on the first floor was also a lot of fun for the kids.
