Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ItalyThe hostel is really close to the harbour so it is easy to reach it by walking. The host was very kind and helpful, I had some serious problems withdrawing money with my credit card and she helped me a lot. If you plan to visit Lanyu, I suggest you take cash with you. Moreover, in the island there is no pharmacy and when I arrived I felt horrible because I had boat sickness (I forgot to buy medicine before coming). For my departure the host provided me some for free, I really appreciated it. I truly enjoyed my stay at Dodowu Homestay and I would highly recommend you to this accommodation.

GermanyStaff was super friendly and even spoke English! They helped us with all our travelling needs and also suggested some places to stay on the island. The homestay also has a rooftop which is lit up at night so you may enjoy a couple drinks there with your friends. It is perfectly located next to one of the only 2 7-Elevens on the island and also the ferry terminal. If I ever visit Lanyu again, DoDoWu Homestay will be my first choice!

TaiwanMy biggest complaint wasn’t with the property, but with some of the other guests. They were constantly getting up and down during my second night there and opening and closing the doors until at least 1:30 am. They also had the lights to their bed turned on but the curtain was not closed, so it illuminated the entire room. It would be nice if there was a mandatory time announced for quiet hours.
It was close to the harbor and the 7-eleven so it was a great location in general.
