Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere were only 2 elevators serving 16 floors. No stairs option from what I was aware of. Only 1 washing machine, and 1 dryer machine. Difficult when multiple people were trying to use the laundry services at night time.
Buffet breakfast was decent (mostly the same every morning with a change in the vegetables +/- meat dish). Also free afternoon tea as well from 1:30-4:30pm daily. The beds were also very comfortable, and the room was spacious. The hotel was decently close to Formosa Boulevarde MRT station.

South KoreaTo be honest, the only thing I can think of is the air conditioner. It was so loud that I needed to turn it off during night to get a comfortable sleep. But since it's very hot in Taiwan in summer, it's getting hot in the room pretty soon, so I got up the middle of the night, turned the air conditioner on again, waiting for like 10 to 15 minutes and then turn it off again, cuz it's hard to sleep with it on, so noisy it is...
Probably, the best place to stay in the area. It's themed, so every room has its own theme, mine was 'Avengers' with all the fluffy Captain Americas and Thanoses scattered around the room! The room itself is quite big too, very clean, and comfortable. Hotel is 6-7 minutes walk from Formosa Boulevard station which is the center of Kaohsiung. You want to stay in the area to travel conveniently to any location. Overall, it is beautiful designer hotel with all amenities you might need, lots of cafes and convenience stores around.

AustraliaTo be honest, rooms is too big for 2 people. It is two king size beds and a playing area for kids but it is just me and my wife. I did ask if I can change to a smaller room with no luck.
Everything meets my expectations and close to MTR station for public transport.

SingaporeThe wifi was actually pretty bad and at some point it completely disappeared from the network list we could select from. Kudos to the team for trying to help fix it but was still slow afterwards

United StatesThe suite was so huge that it needed two air conditioning units. There was a dining room, lounge, bedroom, and bathroom. The room had a safe and a mini fridge. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo and body gel. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The included breakfast buffet was good. The included afternoon tea was just okay. The hotel has a washer and dryer on the 3rd floor. The location is less than a 5 minutes walk to Formosa MRT and less than 10 minutes to Liouhe Night Market. The hotel called a taxi for me upon departure, and it arrived in less than a minute.

United KingdomThe overhead shower needs de-calcifying (room 702). It would be good if the kids areas were open at different hours. 10am-7pm is when guests are most likely to be out doing things. 9am after breakfast, or after 7pm (after dinner) would be helpful. There wasn't any staff around when we visited and everyone was following the rules so it should be ok to let the rooms be used if an adult is present.
Great hotel. Excellent location and facilities. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection. Staff very helpful and friendly.

CanadaI booked an executive room with accessibility. (Not that I needed it, but they don't have a room that can accommodate 4 of us.) The drain in the shower was not quite right and the water always get to the sink area and made a mess. Would be better if there is a drain along the side of the shower and also a shower curtain is installed. Imagine after 4 people showered at night and how wet it was on the floor near sink. :(
Delicious breakfast !! Room is nice and clean. Friendly Staff !!! A+++

CanadaThe large Family Room was great. I liked the extra living space. The Afternoon Tea and Breakfast had a lot of options and the staff made sure you always had water bottles and tea available. It's only a 10-15 minute walk to Kaohsiung Station.

Hong KongThe room is a bit dated. The hotel doesn't offer room cleaning service every day unless you ask for it. They should at least clear the rubbish if not tidying up the room.
It is great value for money. The room is spacious. It is around 10 min walk from the metro station.

NetherlandsThe breakfast was okay and with not many choices. They re-cooked the older food together with new ingredients. I saw rice noodles in a dish with spaghetti and it was bizarre.
The room is very big and it is suitable for families with kids. It is nice that a baby bed could be provided. There is also free afternoon tea everyday.
