The kitchen was locked and was accessed via the patio which it wasn’t clear if we were allowed to go on, so I ended up going to the 7-Eleven for hot water to make a cup of tea. The roof terrace was also not useable but perhaps this and the patio were undergoing renovations or something.

The hostel was very clean, and had lots of character. The beds were comfortable and private. There was plenty of space to be social or to get work done, read etc. It was quiet and restful. There was a nice atmosphere and we would have happily stayed longer!

I did get a little shafted on price but I booked about two days in advance of New Year's day so the fault is probably my own there. The place is pretty close to an MRT station but if you have a lot of luggage it might be a lot.

Very pleasant and comfortable with extremely friendly staff and other guests. Nice vibe to the place, easy checkin and I the place felt nice and safe. The lockers were easy to use and could easily accommodate my backpack.

Bring earplugs - they're a must for hostels! Not only will it hide the noise of your neighbours snoring, it will also help dealing with the road noise in the room. It's quite normal for buildings in Taipei. With earplugs, couldn't even hear the road👍

- The staff was very nice and accommodating! - There's only 8 people at most in a room, for 2 toilets and 2 showers. That's more than enough 👍 and good if you don't like to share these facilities with a lot of people (at other hostels, you can sharing a big bathroom with a floor of 50ppl or more). - Beds are doing a good job at keeping privacy and are fairly comfortable.

I wish there were curtains on the actual windows in the room, would give more privacy against apartments on the other side of the street and also to keep it extra dark in the morning. Sunrise is after 5am now so it get's bright in the room pretty early!

Hostel is super clean. The location is better than you think, it's a 15min walk from the metro station that brings you into any of Taipei city in another 15mins.. so even though it's actually located in New Taipei City I would still recommend it. The dorm rooms were really nice and cosy and there was a lot of privacy. The bathrooms were really nice too, the sinks were probably a little small for washing my face without wetting the floor but minor issue. Outside the rooms was a nice sit down area, with desks and the hostel came with fairly large lockers that you opened with a keycard so no need for a padlock.

The kitchen and garden were closed and we didn't have access at all. The bathrooms are a bit tight and uncomfortable in the sink area. The dorms, although built with good intentions to be private and cozy, were quite flimsy. The wood was creaking with every move and we would constantly get scratched on unfinished ends.

The staff was nice and the host is very responsive and helpful via the app. The dorms offer privacy with curtains.

1. They tell you there is a kitchen in the hostel but it's almost all day long locked so you can't even drink tea or coffee in the morning or fill up your Bottle of water and need to buy it somewhere else which means more money, also there is a refrigerator in the place but only for staff, so again, more money goes. 2. The transportation to the place is bad. You need at least 2-3 busses to go there. 3. Just not a good value for the money I paid. I'm traveling for almost 3 months now and this hostel was one of the most expensive I've been into but also one of the most disappointing..

The staff was very kind and helpful, also responding very fast when you send him a message. The room was big and the bed area was big as well

The upper bed is super noisy. It creates very irritating noise all the night when a guy tossing and turning on the bed. They provide ear plug but it doesn't help for noise cancellation at night.

It was nice property located in yoghe district, close to bus station and Dingxi metro station is 850m away. Proximity to all tourist stations.

No AC operates between certain times during very hot season. Does booking.Com mention it before booking? I don’t think so. Location isn’t great, away from many sites. No kitchen facility to keep your drinks cold. Wi-Fi isn’t the best, has been very slow at times. Staff/Manager is very kind.
