There is no view from the room but we were out all day so no problem. The morning breakfast was little lackluster.

Actually, there are no real downsides, however a tip. Instead of energy saving light, using LED lights can save some more electricity, not just electricity on the lights but also for the airco (because lights that use less power will get less warm).

Really nice couple to host us, quiet location (and super cute cats). If you arrive by train, they are more than happy to pick you up or drop you af the railway station, the same thing for grocery shopping.

The rooms are ok, you don‘t have a view from the room to the Mountain, because the Windows are a little bit strange, like you can see on the picture. But not a big thing. We felt comfortable.

Sophia was an amazing Host. She picked us up at the Train Station and droves us whenever we want to go to the Taroko Visiter Center and gave us very good advices for Hiking-Tours in the Taroko Park. The breakfast was really good and fresh. The rooms are ok.

You really need a car if you're going to stay here, which wasn't an issue for us.

This has to be the best play to stay in Taroko, hands down. The hospitality from the hosts is exceptional. Sophia and her husband are very caring, friendly and genuine. We accidentally checked in a day early and Sophia accommodated us no problems whatsoever. She gave me her time and recommendations for our time in Taroko which was very kind. Breakfast is fantastic. I came down with a cold the day we were leaving and she was kind enough to deliver breakfast to our room since I didn't want to spread any germs. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. I can completely recommend Taroko Mountain Dream with no hesitations, thank you Sophia!

Nothing at all, it was all great.

Sophia is extraordinarily kind and hospitable. She picked us up at the train station and organized scooter rental and dinner for us, and gave us great advice on what to visit in the magnificent Taroko park as well as great dinner options, and she drove our luggage to the station when we left. The B&B is beautiful, the room spacious and very comfortable, the breakfast delicious, it was a real delight and we miss it already.

Sophia was a great hostess and she took care of us, as if we were part of the family: - she advised us the perfekt hike’s for our level, - with her help, we rented two bicycles, - she did some laundry for us - and she was always in a good mode. She was there, when we needed a pickup or drop-off. We had quite some good moments in the car or at breakfast, talking about her country, the mountains, the culture of Taiwan and much more. Thank you Sophia, for making this stay unforgettable and one of our best during our long journey.

Some of the room windows had no curtains so room was light v early but that was not a big deal

The b and b owner/host Sophia was lovely - she gave us great advice on how to enjoy Taroko national park and where to eat dinner as well as helping us get around without a car. The b and b was also very quiet and very convenient to explore the park and the local area. Would go there again.

We enjoyed our short stay at Hualien Taroko Mountain Dream B&B very much. The owner is friendly and cooperative and speaks English well. The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was very tasty. Would definitely stay again when in Taroko!

The roosters that knew when to go to bed.

Sofia and her husband were the most welcoming hosts I have ever encountered. she lugged my suitcases in for me when I was extremely tired after a gruelling hike at the gorge. She recommended amazing places to eat, and warmed up my left overs the next day, bringing them to my door. In the room they have thought of everything including shampoo, conditioner and best of all coffee! The best part was the warm hug when I left. Breakfast was also just the right amount to fuel you before a hike. Thank you for treating me like family!
