One of the best hostel experiences I’ve had! The hostel is very cozy and clean with lots of nice spots to hang out. And the people were really nice! I felt very welcome and comfortable right away. Definitely recommend staying here.

The location between beach and main street is quiet and ideal. The hostel was clean, tidy and homely and I did like the rooftop hammock especially after sunset when it was breezy and cool. The hosts, Lucy and Buggy were very warm and welcoming and made me feel at home and answered any questions I may have had about Dulan and beyond and I can see how Dulan would be an easy place to relax for a week, month, whatever. Thanks Lucy and Buggy.

Amazing atmosphere, the people managing the hostel are really nice and chill. Staying there was very relaxing. The location is perfect just 10 minutes walk or 5 minutes bike from the beach and minutes away from food and coffee options.

The bed was quite hard, which is not unusual for Taiwan. But it was not that comfortable. The lack of space makes it understandable, but it was still not great to have one side of the bed against a wall. The only place to sit in the room, other than the bed, is a pouf or cushion type thing on the floor. I think there is enough space for a small sofa or two armchairs. I have a bad knee and getting down on the floor and back up again is a struggle. The walls of the rooms are quite thin, so we felt a slight lack of privacy. Luckily our fellow guests were very courteous and quiet. The hostel is right by a T-intersection, and the side of the building where the rooms are is RIGHT next to the road, which meant passing vehicles sounded like they were right next to us, especially if the window was open. The rubbish collection truck's music was exceptionally loud and annoying to us. The kitchen sink has seen (and smelled) better days and could do with getting a makeover.

The owners were super welcoming and friendly and spoke perfect English. They were very helpful, too, in giving us info about the town and were we could eat, when to catch the bus back to Taitung, etc. Laundry service available upon request, and very cheap. We loved the laid-back vibe of the place. We also liked that it was cleaner and less scruffy than the other hostels in the town, without it losing its relaxed atmosphere. The room was more spacious than it seemed in the photos, and the high ceiling added to that feeling of spaciousness. It also had a little private balcony with chairs where we could sit and relax. The little yard at the back of the hostel was very cute - it was lovely to sit under the big tree and fairy lights at night. The only thing missing was a few more comfortable chairs to lounge in (there's only one of those, on the deck, plus some spindly wooden folding chairs). The shower was amazing! Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy, including the bathrooms, which was great since they were shared by all. A few friendly neighbourhood pets came to say hello once or twice. The hostel is within walking distance from everything you'd need - restaurants, convenience stores, shops, bus stop. But it's not directly on the busy and noisy main road, like most of the other hostels in town. And a 10 minute walk from the beach.

The hosts were amazing and very friendly. It really felt like a family, and all the guests talked and ate together in the living room. The beds were VERY comfortable! Well worth the price for sure!!

The hostel is perfectly located in dulan. Close to a bus stop, the beach and restaurants. The facilities are very clean and easy to use. The best thing about the hostel are the owners. They are very welcoming and kind people. Always ready to help when you have questions. Would love to stay again!

Welcoming host , willing to have a chat and some explanation about area (speaks good English - helpful if you cannot speak mandarin) . Cool paintings on the walls painted by Candy Bird (famous Taiwanese graffiti artist) that's why I chose this hostel to have photos with the paintings :)

The staff was super friendly and the general atmosphere in the hostel was really pleasant. There's plenty of comfortable corners to enjoy a chill evening hanging out with other guests. The location is just perfect: close to the coast, at the same time right next to the main street where there's shops and restaurants, but also not directly on it, so it's also very peaceful.

Nice little hostel just off the main street in Dulan. The owners are extremely kind and the place is kept very clean. Facilities are absolutely fine for the price and they have a nice roof terrace.
