Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere wasn't anything we really didn't like. There were just some odd things. The beds were comfortable but we got two larger twin beds. As I was sharing a room with my husband, it would have been nice to have one king size bed. It worked though.
Beds were comfy. Shower and tub was an unusual set up but it worked. Staff was super helpful in getting us on our way to the various places we would go by calling cabs and letting the drivers know where we were going. It was really appreciated. It was just a few blocks away from the MRT. Super nice.

NetherlandsShower was way too short - my height is 1.80 and i couldn’t shower comfortably(maybe also part of the charm). I also didn’t really like the host when we checked in on the 30th. We asked if we could check in early. This was not possible (understandable around New Year’s Eve - so OK), but then we came back at 02:30 and still had to wait an hour where he didn’t inform us or anything. I don’t think that that is very customer friendly.
The room was amazing! It was spacious, clean and value for money. It was very sound proof. I also liked it that there was a Louisa coffee in the hotel, pretty convenient. Also liked the guard working at night with New Year’s Eve (31st - 1st of Jan). He welcomed us very friendly and practiced Chinese with me.

SingaporeSo far so good.
We book a room for 4 persons. Room is big. Separate shower and WC. Meaning shower on 1 side. WC on the other side. Different entrance. Is good. One can shower and other can use the WC at the same time. Breakfast is ok as some food dont repeat everyday. Overall is perfect only for 1 small issue. As the breakfast timing for weekday is from 7 to 9.30am, very short timing, as for holiday tend to sleep late, we took some food up to the room and was being stop by the female supervisor, asking why we took their plate away. Is the plate dont belong to the hotel itself? Very curious! Later we say will bring down the plate and is resolved. This is the first time we encounted this. Other hotels dont ask in this way. Make us embarrassed.

AustraliaThere is a petrol station between the MRT station and the hotel. Certain sections of pavement along the way were narrow and wet. A bit awkward and unsafe if pushing large luggage. We were on 7th floor, yet still facing the noisy MRT track. The vibration of train movement was obvious though mostly quiet after midnight. Inadequate lighting at the room entrance near the wardrobe. Insufficient hooks/bars to hang towels in the bathroom. Nowhere to place shampoo/ skin care products inside the shower cubicle or next to the bathtub. On the first morning, there were rude guests (Korean speaking?) in groups at breakfast, sitting right next to us, talking loudly across the tables as if they were in a pub enjoying a few drinks! The next day, there was another set of (sounded Korean again?) guests behaving as if they were in their private room--pulling down his top and told the other guy to pound his back :-{
Breakfast was well attended by chef/staff. Taiwanese and western dishes tasty. Good to see different alternatives on the two mornings we ate there. Location close to MRT, only 10 minutes leisure walk. Room was spacious and comfortable. Nice big bath tub.

SingaporeThe TV did not have any movie channels, not sure if it's a thing with big hotels. The smaller hotels we stayed all had movie channels. Also, there were other guests who left their doors open like they own the whole floor, and you can hear all the noises they're making. They could be families or from the same Korean tour group, and there was even a guy seated next to our girls' room door, feels weird and infringed. Not the hotel's fault though. But perhaps the hotel can take note and advise guests not to sit in the walkway.
We had to leave early for our flight, which was before the breakfast time. The staff was very nice to offer to pack our breakfast so we could take them with us. Also, the room was huge and very nice, and the toilet too! Like a 5 star hotel!

Taiwan1. The hotel is near the MRT railway, and sometimes it is a little bit noisy when staying in the low floor, but still acceptable. 2. The location is not in the downtown of the city, and there are very few restaurants there. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk and take MRT to the nearest mall.
1. The room is large with quite enough facilities, including many places to put luggage, TV with Youtube function, a comfortable bed etc. 2. The hotel serves 2 bottles of complementary cold brew tea.

FranceNothing. We took the room without a window which could be stuffy? But we stayed only one night and it didn't matter to us.
The two men at the front desk who checked us in were so kind, warm and welcoming. We found the location to be very convenient coming from the airport ( we might choose to stay here on our way back to the airport). It is not close to the city of Taipei but it is very well connected. We appreciated the diverse breakfast and they also offered us a sandwich/tea to take away. The hotel is very clean, quite and calm. Everything was perfect. We thank the staff for their hospitality.
