How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Patio faced onto the neighbouring building - not worthwhile staying out there at all. Toilet paper and tissues were cheap and scratchy.
Very spacious, good location. Friendly staff, and right across from the beach.

"墾丁海水浴場" beach is a place you CAN'T swim. Not the hotel's fault, no problem, but something you should know before you book this hotel.
The staff was very kind and warm. They showed us to our parking spot personally and gave us great tips and shortcuts when we needed to get somewhere. We were extremely close to the night market which was very active at night with singing, dancing, and drinking. A very young crowd.

good location, good values. If you will be out all day and only need a room for a good night's sleep, not looking for luxury, this is a perfect place.

There were some ants when I arrived in room. After killing them a bit none other showed up. Room and bathroom was a bit out dated. Soundproofing is pretty bad.
The place was spacious and clean. Staff were nice. I had my dog with me in the room which cost extra 300nt a night.

It says that the room was soundproof.. but then we dont know it is not.. so please! We have different schedule of sleeping hr. 😊

It's summer and the aircon is not working well. Or maybe it's working, but it is not too powerful. Maybe they could change it. It's a little hot to sleep in the afternoon and at night.
Accesible to the beach. Accesible to the food stands.

The location next to a BBQ restaurant which meant the higher priced balcony provided the smell of BBQ sauce rather than the ocean from noon to eve. The counter staff oversold services. they sold me water activities at a far away beach that the vendor could not deliver after I arrived. And on the way to the vendor, I passed by another beach that had these same water activities closer to the hotel. Oh, and the rental scooter was more expensive and older than what I could have found down the street from the hotel. no pool, no laundry. For just $280 more per night, I could have stayed at the waterfront Chateau Beach resort hotel just a block away. And enjoy their many outdoor activities, pool and laundry.

The place was not clean at all. The room had a strong musty smell, the walls were covered with dirt, the TV had a layer of grease with dead insects stick on it. Spiders were living in the room. The bathroom sink was clogged all the time. Not even a small table in the room. When they “cleaned the room” just stretched (very bad) the duvet and that it was. They provide you with some kind of plastic slippers but not even new, they were used, and also dirty. Also the access its very bad, we went with our daughter in a stroller and you need to pass over some kind of improvised ramp over the sidewalk gutter. Inside, no ramp at all, you need to carry all the stuff over a stair to reach the rooms/elevator. We booked 4 nights and after the first night we ran away worried about our health. Due to the current situation, the lack of cleaning was not acceptable at all. Of course they didn’t reimburse anything, blaming booking.com. I just threw my money.
