How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very noisy at night time both from other rooms and outside even with window closed. Strange smell when we entered the room and bathroom not ventilating so well.
Clean and simple, nice sheets on the bed. Very helpful staff at front desk and nice surroundings to go into from the busy streets.

The sanity of the room especially the bathroom needs to get improved.(there were fungus on the tub.)

Have to pay by cash. There is no card payment.
10mins away from the metro station and there is quite a number of bus stop around

Check in times are a little bit inflexible.
Very clean room. Good location at the boulevard, walkable to train station, night market and bus stop to sun moon lake. In the room description it was written that you shouldn‘t be sensitive to noise but the room was actually very quiet.

Photos on booking.com are deceiving- obviously I don't expect a hat on my bed, but there were zero plants or flowers, no decoration on the walls, the photos make it look a lot more cosy and beautiful than it is, in reality it's a lot more stripped back so I could have chosen another hotel that looks like this for cheaper. Also, considering the size of the room, some kind of stand for a suitcase or a small shelf would be good, I had to basically put my clothes on top of the fridge
Location is wonderful, beautiful lobby, good WiFi (worked and made video calls from the rook bo problem), comfortable bed, large room. Accommodated me to give me a room higher up away from the street noise so I could sleep better :)

The bed is very soft and the room is very cold. There is no microwave in the hotel. No water inside the room

Water in room tap not hot enough,so you have to go 2 floors down but if you are in bed it is a palaver to get dressed, also coffee machine runs out late so you want a nice coffee forget it. For tea lovers you can get teabags there.
In good location. Plenty of food places and convenience stores nearby. Station only half a mile.

The access card that they gave us is defective. We cannot enter the hotel. We were just thankful that another guest were there or else we will be spending our night outside. We try to contact the staff but no answer from them

When we open the refrigerator, there's a left over food. We thought maybe they didn't check or clean the refrigerator.
I like the room that we've stayed in. It so comfortable.

The aircon is not working properly . And one thing is, it is stated in the app that they have netflix. But they don't.
The room was big compare to other hotels that we've stayed before. The location is great. It was near to the train station and bus stop. We like the fact that they provide electric fan since the aircon is not working properly. The the refrigerator is great. 😊

During the night there was a bad drainage smell. You hear all the people in the hallway as if they are standing next to your bed. On Saturday the price is double or triple, completely overpriced!!!
We could drop off our luggage early and pay with credit card. It's an old building in a busy road, badly soundproofed. The room was simple and relatively clean.

SCAMERS!!! Arrived bit late and reception already was closed, so called and they told me that there is basically no option for me to pay, i asked them to take money via booking.com where i and book the place, but i was told that is impossible… so i asked to cancel my booking and found different hotel for myself at 1am .. and next day they charged my bank card on booking.com .. so impossible become possible:))

Very noisy room. We were up on one of the top floors - 8 or 9 and the noise of traffic was constant throughout the night. The room was ok, but if you're at all sensitive to noise, think twice about this one.
