How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Lift, very hard to wait the lift on peak hours.
Everything is quite good, bed is comfortable for us and the toilet is clean.

Some parts of the room were quite dusty. The room was also quite small but I guess most of the hotels in Taipei are that size.
The reception area offered free soft drinks, tea, coffee and snacks. We really liked the bidet that was included in the bathroom of each room.

So it doesn't look much from the outside, but the small room was well decorated, the bathroom was great, the toilet was great and warmed up when you sat on it, the shower was good, the bed was really comfortable, and best of all it feels like your own mini apartment. You don't have the whole hotel reception thing which is on 3rd floor, you can just walk in, go to your floor and room number. I had an uber eats guy come right up to my room. It's very private and anonymous while still being in a hotel.

Male reception staff during check in was not very friendly.
Great location, walking distance to Xi Men Ding, lots of food choices around the area. Shower was nice and powerful. Nice coffee and tea area at the lobby.

The room had no windows
I liked: - although we did not booked an accommodation with breakfast, at the reception there are some snacks, tea and coffee and of course water - the place was really clean - location - resistance to earthquake ( we experienced an earthquake, magnitude 5.8 and everything was ok) Thanks for our stay!

The staff were unfriendly and inhospitable, however they got the checkin job done quickly and you can check out via a kiosk to avoid them upon checkout.
The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The hotel is well situated, close to the main train station and Ximen.

The location is very strategic, between several MRT station. Walk to taipei main station about 12 min. The room is clean and new.

The counter staff was talking load feeling like scolding when I asked for some questions. Feeling bad.

Some staff were super helpful while some were not so friendly, but they all helped us well with our inquiry.
Facilities located from the third floor of an old building but were renovated with a modern look. Our room was a bit tiny but accommodated us well with basic amenities for five nights. I value the cleanliness and the great location of place with many food stalls around. Ximending and NTU Hospital metro is also within a five-minute-walking distance.

The room is too small and cramp. No place to put the luggage. Hard to walk around the room once you have placed the luggage on floor.

Room on the cozier side - not much room for luggage. Check-in process at 3:30pm was a bit chaotic as they have a very strict check-in time and there was a line up of people waiting in the lobby.
Convenient location - MRT station is a 6-minute walk. Centrally located, near the National Taiwan Museum, Memorial Park and 228 Peace Monument. Room was neat and clean.

The parking lot is quite dark, otherwise everything is pretty good. The staff is friendly and helpful!
It’s a good place to stay if you attend to the run marathons! Near the office of the President and the 西門 station!

The location is very good: close to the red, green, blue and airport MRT lines, and Ximending is only a 10 minutes walk away. The room was spacious and every time I requested housekeeping it was cleaned perfectly.

Lift abit slow. That's about it.
The place was awesome. Cleanliness probably is their priority. Quiet. Which is good. It's a smoke free hotel. Walkable distance to 3 different MRT station. Walkable distance to Ximending, which is like the main attraction.

The lift is abit slow that's all. Other then that all is good.
The staffs was all very friendly. Pantry was very clean. Location wise is okay. Walking distance to famous locations such as ximending.
