How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Amazing community area, very clean with comfortable single rooms. They offer breakfast vouchers to explore the shops nearby - such a great concept! The staff helped me with ordering a taxi. I would definitely come back.

The bathroom has a glass wall with a curtain, providing privacy when using it. Not the best when travelling with someone else. But this is really minor
The hostel looks stunning with the green. The bed is comfortable and everything is clean. The staff is very nice. Felt safe also a female solo traveller

Nothing really.
Lovely guest house in quiet street in Taitung! Great staff who spoke English well. I love the aesthetic of the place with the plant-lined foyer and the stylish rooms!

Small double room was tiny and bathroom was the style where when you have a shower everything gets wet. No window in the room!! But on balance I think we still got good value for what we paid for.
Very trendy fit out for this new and comfortable hostel. Great shared areas including kitchen, lounges, atrium garden, bathrooms and laundry. Good local advice from the staff

It’s hidden in an alley, so you might need some guidance to find this pretty place.
A wonderful hostel! The room is nice and cozy, even lobby has a bicycle item for repairing! Most easy and convenient choice for backpackers!

One of the best hostels/hotels in a long time. Professional and courteous staff; modern, clean facilities; lots of shared community spaces. There was some minor construction during the daytime, which echoed through the atrium a lot
Super effective use of space in the small rooms, with nice lounging areas around the atrium. Loved how easy bicycle friendly it was, too!

The noise sure is a thing but you get earplugs if you need them. We missed a window or any daylight in the room.
Great location, friendly staff. Stylish hostel with great working and chill area. Room was clean (we booked the bigger double room) and since was good too.

Noise from adjacent rooms (shower, toilet) can be heard, but as long as your neighbors go to sleep at a reasonable time, it isn't much of a disturbance. Military planes fly over the property during the day (and can be heard), but it isn't so bothersome since they don't fly at night.
Comfortable and well designed. Open space/communal area is very nice. Staff are friendly and helpful.

You are given vouchers for local shops and restaurants rather than breakfast in the hostel. It's a good idea, but those places don't give back change! If you order or buy something which costs TWD30, you have to give a voucher of TWD50, so it should be normal to get TWD20 cash back, but they don't. Please amend the system.
Nice, modern and well designed rooms. Free water, tea, coffee, cookies. Some English is spoken. Comfortable beds.

①WEB Site information said breakfast included, but not included. ②I heard some kind of a electronic sounds(next door's air conditioner?), it keeps on hearing when I was sleeping, little bit loud.

A Young Team always eager to help, explaining everything in details. Everything at hand, vouchers breakfast easy to spend on designated businesses, kitchen with all the amenities. Definitely the place to choose.
