How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A very calm and quiet hostel located in a perfect location, close to the station and all the sites! It was lovely to be welcomed with a fresh bowl of fruit and a friendly atmosphere. Clean, calm and convenient. I will stay here again!

My personal light was so dim, I had to use my phone torch.. The room was very cosy with 8 bunks. There's a slight odour in such a compact space, it could've done with more ventilation. The geyser is far too powerful. It hurts you sometimes.
Welcoming, friendly and helpful with recommendations on check-in. Bathrooms, toilets, and common areas were very clean and cleaned regularly. The bathroom/toilet was on the same floor with 3 showers and 3 toilets, there's more than enough for the floor. The bunk was really sturdy and I barely noticed my bunkmates. The mattress was firm and thick as was the pillow. I slept so comfortably. The reception common area has lots of desks and chairs where you can work or just chat to other.guests. The place has a modern and homely design. WiFi everywhere in the building and works really well. AC and dehumidifier did a great job of keeping the room at a comfortable temperature.

Very friendly and modern hostel with a cozy, homely vibe to it. The common area and kitchen are quite spacious, great to hang out and meet new people. At checkin you get a map of local attractions, restaurants and night markets. One of the best places I've stayed in Taiwan. Would recommend to anyone.

Not too far from train station. Stuff is very friendly and provides some travel tips when I was there. The stuff also offer me Taiwan local fruits when I rest at the lobby.

The hostel provided good service, ensuring a comfortable stay with clean and cozy accommodations. Additionally, the inclusion of towels added convenience and enhanced the overall guest experience. Other guests were also nice.

The room was rather warm and stuffy. It would be ideal if a full size bath towel could be provided, rather than just a face towel.
The owner is very welcoming and friendly. He gave me very useful tips for navigating the city. The hostel is very clean with indoor slippers provided to guests.

Wonderful manager and staff, super clean, has a full kitchen. Espresso machine with good quality coffee for a cheap price. Comfortable supportive beds with curtains. Lockers. Fruit on arrival. Great location. I loved it and will definitely come back.

The location was conveniently within reasonable walking distance to many of the main attractions in Tainan. The host was also very courteous and took extra time to provide information to alot of the local tourist locations. The hostel was indeed very quiet, the rooms are well sound proofed. The washrooms are very clean and well maintained and the host also was kind enough to provide a bowl of local fruits upon my arrival. For the price I booked it for, this really can't be beat.

The beds are comfy and the room not crowded at all. There was enough space for all luggage and to move around. The common space was also nice and allowed for customers to socialize. The host is an absolute gem, he is so friendly and gave me fruit whenever I was sitting in the common space to work. Really a great experience!

I loved this hostel! The common room was very cosy, my bed was comfortable, the bedsheets were clean, everything and everywhere was clean actually. The room had real soundproofing so it was quiet. Most importantly, the owner, Mr. Chan was fantastic! He is very kind and helpful. He really takes care of everything and everyone with his staff. Thank you so much.

the bed was a bit tiny to crawl into, but I am nitpicking, the whole experience was very good.
The location was pretty good - very close to the train station and also most of the places visitors usually go to. The bed was very comfortable. Even tho the hostel was very tiny, but it was clean and you can easily make friends if you want to.
