The bed sits in the corner of the room and is perpendicular to the central ventilation so the room feels cool but not where the bed is which makes it a bit too hot in the middle of the night with comforter on.

The bed was exceptionally hard! Didn’t sleep well at all. Seems like they did not bother to vacuum the carpet throughout our stay!

1) Breakfast has limited choice with same food offering. 2) Reception staff on morning shift were unhelpful and rather rude, especially a young lady staff with a pony tail. She was not attending to any other guest yet chose to ignore us. When I asked a question, she said she didn’t know but without offering to get her colleague to help. On the other hand, the older male staff on night shift when we checked in on Wed morning was helpful and had good initiatives. The manager Mr Chen came across as reasonably helpful, but we were not sure if he was really interested in our feedback. 3) the room was not serviced until in the afternoon and only after I made enquiries whether anyone was going to make up the room.

All great, just a unique experience of being there during a sudden cold front in March, so room was at 19-20 celcius permanently, and unable to switch on heating as its centralised. They made effort to lend me a good portable blower heater.

Great location, 4mins walk from Daan station. Clean plush and comfortable room sizes, nice courteous staff. Breakfast pretty simple with a congee and usually 3 dishes: a rice/noodle, egg, a veg... but could be normal for taiwan standards.

Staff upon checking me in on 22/12 did not tell me i needed to check out at 11.30am on 26/12. Everyday for the next few days the early check out time was not made known to me. 1 day before checking out, i told reception i would out at 12pm, the standard check out time. She told me curtly it would be 11.30am and that 12pm was not possible because the hotel was fully booked. Isn't standard check in time 3pm? On the day of the check out, reception called my room at 11.32am (when i was getting ready to leave the room) and told me i had past my check out time. If i did not check out soon, they would have to charge me for overstaying. I was at a loss for words.

We had to pay for an extra bed for NT$1500 a night for my 10 year old son. There was no nightlight and bidet in the toilet. The light switches were very confusing.There was one day that our room wasn't cleaned, and we were 100% sure that we did not select the "DO NOT DISTURB" option. The male staff even made an excuse for the cleaning lady.

The front desk staff, most particularly the tall older gentleman, he should learn to be more friendly and smile more. His attitude is not best for the front desk and guest relations work. I e-mailed the hotel twice if we could possibly avail of a half day rate due to our very early (7 am) arrival at the hotel on the 29th of October.. Our emails were just ignored.

The ceiling in the room was extremely low, the wallpaper in the room was peeling off. Our room keys stopped working mid stay and the staff was slow to fix the issue - it did not feel like a 4-star hotel for sure.
