Excellent location, top of the hill and quiet. Small hotel fairly new, reminds me of some boutique hotels in Japan. Friendly staff most speaks English. easy access to town and two MRT stations. We traveled with an infant and a 4yo, highly recommend for family travelers. Hot spring is clean, breakfast has good international food to choose from, if we ever come back Beitou sure will book again.

We managed to get the room at a discount due to last minute booking. Room was clean and grand and in-room onsen bath was perfect. Welcome treats were nice and fancy. Only there for one night, hotpot restaurant and onsen available and location of hotel at top of stairs meant we didn’t end up leaving the hotel until checkout.

Too rigid in taking the breakfast. Need to use plastic gloves and the foods are covered. It is less hygienic this way. Need to review this process.

The pool was under construction during our stay. But it was March and probably too cold to use the pool anyway so it didn’t really impact our stay.

The property was incredible. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable.

Unfriendliness of certain staff. Though only encountered 2 (1 front desk & 1 spa) such staff in my 3 nights stay, but it does cause some unpleasantness.

Daily replenish of drinks and sweets and daily happy hour drink. Substantial breakfast (there is even bubble wine). Dinner were very good (had shabu shabu & western) as well. Wonderful spa and hot spring facilities.

A bit far from the convenience store although there's no reason to leave. Also further away from mrt so recommend to take taxi to your destination

There's a shabu shabu restaurant. It was quiet. The hotel room had a big bathtub, and they pumped up spring water. There was sparkling wine at breakfast.

Personal onsen in the room and beautiful library setting in the hallway. The hotel Chinese restaurant is also very good. Breakfast selection is more limited but sufficient.

Pretentious but service and sincerity did not match the expectations of a high end hotel. The best service was provided by the doorman.

Wonderful staff, restaurants, onsen, location. We felt terribly pampared! Is a really wonderful place to stay to experience Beitou. The onsen with indoor and outdoor options, thoughtful design for relaxation, was so therapeutic. Definitely a place we would come back to.

The soundproof can improve, we could hear child crying on our floor and upstairs moving chairs and running and draining their bath.

Our 5-day stay at The Gaia Hotel Taipei was amazing! The hotel itself was lovely, with decorative touches that were aesthetically pleasing. The rooms were also clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the facilities tremendously - spa, gym, hot springs, sauna and steam room! And the restaurants served really delicious cuisine. But what was most memorable was the exceptional service we received. The staff was unfailingly warm and caring, and took the effort to learn about my family and our preferences. They made us feel so welcomed and at home! In particular, they took great care of our wheelchair-bound mother and made every effort to ensure that she enjoyed her stay. Worthy of mention are Candy, Tracy, Tina Zheng, Shi Hwan Hong, and Julian at the restaurant who were attentive, friendly and super helpful; Winifred, Sean, Charles Liu, Darren Liu and Evan Lin at the front desk who were always prompt in responding to our requests and remarkably astute in anticipating our needs and ensuring that we had a wonderful time; and Rain Chen who cheerfully helped our mother into our car each morning and spoke to her with such care and kindness. These staff members are a huge credit to the hospitality industry! We highly recommend The Gaia Taipei if you are looking for a really special time in Taipei!

The hotel is in a nice position on the hot spring mountain. We enjoyed the hot spring room bath. And views. Dinner was nice and the room snacks. We hiked up the mountain to the craft museum. Recommend booking for a kaiseki lunch there online. Book ahead. Friendly staff.

everything was perfect. we were stayed for 1 night and they upgraded our room with private thermal bath tub. amazing! we can dip ourselves in our room without going down. feel relax and enjoy not to forget, ask them to pick u up in beitou station. they could pick up but we didnt know so we walk all the way hahaha. i would recommend this hotel.

Very beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Great ambience for retreat from hectic work and recharging from stress.

Excellent service staff @ front desk & in the various restaurants. They were to help with scanning of documents for work done while I’m in holiday to send back to my staff in the office to follow up.

May need sometime for the seats availability for breakfast if you go to the restaurant lately.

Clean, spacious, and cozy public hot spring. It is competitive experience as hot spring in Japan. Qiyan suite room has sufficient space for 2 adults. It’s clean, good quality furnitures, and various snacks and beverages in mini bar as well. Course dinner and breakfast served in western style restaurant are pretty good taste. The stuffs who can speak Japanese are working here more than I expected. (At least 3)
