The beds are hard. No free coffee machine & the 2 coffee sachets provided have added milk & sugar.

We were very happy with the good size of our basic twin room which had lots of windows & some opened for fresh air. Look for a soft pillow in the cupboard! Most of the staff were friendly, though their English was limited. There is a laundry on 5th floor - free wash but pay for drier which doesn’t dry very well. It is quite a convenient location being so close to an MRT station. From Zuoying station (high speed rail station) to the hotel is easy. Take red line (heading to Siaogang) & get off at Formosa, then orange line (heading to Daliao) just 1 stop & get off at Sinyi Elementary School Station, No 6. Go out exit 4 & few minutes walk. The whole journey takes less than half an hour & only costs 30TWD each ($A1.50). The hotel is surrounded by food outlets & there is even a morning market. You can walk to Liuhe night market in 20 minutes or catch MRT to Formosa Station. Ruifeng night market is near Zuoying station. For Lotus Lake, return to Zuoying station & walk for about 15 minutes or find the bus! To get to Fo Giang Shan Buddha museum & monastery catch EO2 bus at stop 3 in front of Zuoying station (closed Tuesday). Buses leaves at 8, 10.10, 11.40, 13.40, 14 etc on weekdays. It costs 70TWD each way & takes 40 minutes. We enjoyed our stay & would stay here again - can’t understand why there are so many low scores on booking.com with no reasons given…

1. The window in our twin bed room was smaller than the website photo. 2. The room door is old and not soundproof. Could be replaced for better security. 3. Hair conditioner not provided. 3. Generally the lobby area and restroom could be better cleaned.

Great location near MTR station and close enough to the city center so everything was accessible. There is even a wet market behind the hotel for early morning breakfast options. The area is relatively quiet at night. Staff was friendly, especially the housekeeper on 8th floor.

We stayed in a standard room. The room was small with a very hard bed so we did not sleep too well.. The aircon settings did not function so we could not set the temperature. The fan speed was too high and the room was freezing. We complained at least 4 times but the problem was not resolved. There was also excessive noise from other guests in the corridor at all hours of the night. This was a bad experience.

The staff is friendly, but that is where it ended. The location is also OK, with the MRT just around the corner.

We stayed in a double room with a king bed. The TV is in a right size not too big or small. Bathroom comes with a bath and a shower room. The only shortcoming was the shower room door was Not able to close properly that water splashed. Overall, the experience brought comfort and relaxation. The front desk were efficient and helpful when requesting bottle water and luggage saving.
