I do not recommend going on the swimming with dolphins excursion, which was very sad and cruel towards the dolphins and starfish.

The place was excellent with friendly service and a good location. I felt at home and didn't want to leave. I highly recommend it to everyone.

We spent one night in Babalao Bengalows, and it was just perfect by all means ! The location is maybe 100m from the beach, the place is peacefull and really beautiful. It’s Well organized so You can just come and enjoy your stay as You wish: event or Any excursion/ taxi drive can be organized by the event manager, the pool is lovely and well equiped, the rooms got airconditionner, ventilator, and are clean and comfy. The owner, is just really Nice and helpfull, You can Rely on him to help you spend good holidays! If I knew I would have stay more than one night! Thanks a lot

In the vicinity of the bungalow, there was road repairs going on and that caused a lot of mud due to rain. Access was a bit difficult but fortunately I was provided with an umbrella.

Nice place, nice atmosphere, staff very helpful and very accessible to beach and other activities. Enjoyed the snorkeling organized by the manager of Babaloa and good places to eat around the area.

There is nothing we don't like. Everything was perfect!

We spent 13 days at Babalao Bungalows and the experience exceeded our expectations. The owners were always available to give great advice on anything we wanted! The food was very good. The location is also great, the beach is a 2 minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here - quiet, cozy and welcoming. The rooms, common area and pool are truly amazing. Max and Elena and the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We already miss the place and are considering going back soon!

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and genuine smiles from the staff. The check-in process was seamless. Each morning, I eagerly anticipated breakfast, and I was never disappointed. The on-site restaurant at Babalao Bungalows serves a delectable array of dishes, from fresh tropical fruits and pastries to made-to-order omelets and local specialties. Babalao Bungalows in Zanzibar is a fantastic place to stay. It has comfy rooms. Plus, there's a cool swimming pool surrounded by trees and plants where you can relax and have fun. It's a great place to chill out and enjoy your vacation.

Max was informative and gave recommendations for restaurants as well as booking a boat excursion to snorkel and swim with dolphins. Yahya was excellent with booking us transfers. Since we visited during rainy season the power often went out at night but was quickly restored. The included breakfast was varied and wonderful. We especially appreciated the free water to fill our bottles. The property is beautiful as well. Would definitely recommend Babalao!

This place was absolutely amazing! Max and Elena are both very welcoming people, and they have a truly wonderful thing going with this property. The food is delicious, snd the flexible breakfast hours are a feature that should be everywhere. Come to think of it, most of the way this place is run should be adapted by other hotels.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room itself was clean and spacious. The attention to detail was evident throughout the property, from the lush gardens to the refreshing pool area. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast and food!! Fantastic place to stay in Zanzibar, Nungwi. Lovely location, close to the beach, the markets and restaurants, and the neighborhood it feels very safe. The service has been fantastic throughout the entire stay! Every morning it’s a new breakfast with delicious local fruit! We’d love to come back!

This was my 3rd hotel stop in Zanzibar, and was definitely the best. Location and facilities are great, just as in pictures. Max and team are really helpful. I was able to have a late checkout as my flight was later in the evening. Definitely recommend.

There is absolutely nothing not to like about this place.

This is probably the best place we have ever stayed at. The hosts are very friendly and readily available if needed. The room came with a great breakfast selection. It’s a short walk to the beach. They gave us guidelines on how much we should pay for taxi and restaurants where we could eat, and a party map. Oh, they even gave me complimentary beers. 😍

Everything about Babalao was great and we truly enjoyed our stay!

The bungalows are located in a great location which is just around the corner from the beach. They offer a delicious breakfast and a good variety of food if you want to have dinner, like us, in the evening without having to leave the place. If you need any help to arrange things, the owners will take good care of you to make sure you have a great stay!

Beautiful and comfy place in the best location with great pool, lounge and chill-out area, only 2 mins to the beach, with many restaurants and shops around.
