Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe location is beautiful - surrounded by nature: forest, managed gardens, mountain river and you can even see mt. Meru on clear days. The staff are super friendly and the hostel encourages everyone to be friendly with each other. We had breakfast, dinner and beers with other guests. Made new friends and then went on day trips with them - all thanks to Banana eco farm for facilitating that :) PS. Mike does amazing pictures, his art is all over the farm - dont forget to visit his paint shop :)

Germanythe road to the property is a mess, especially in rain season. not reachable by Bajajji or boda because of the wholes in the road. we always had to go with a car or walk (20 minutes)
beautiful banana farm with an eco system, great breakfast and food in general! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The nature around the whole property is beautiful and a great place to unwind and relax! We had the private cabin next to the river, no wifi there but very cozy for couples :)

United StatesAbsolutely nothing!
Banana Farm is such a gem and our group felt extremely lucky to have had a chance to experience it. There is so much to recommend about this place: the expansive grounds, the serene atmosphere, the delicious foods, the delectable banana varieties, and particularly the welcoming staff. Shoutout to Regina from front desk with your contagious laughter and Ivan from the kitchen with your heartwarming attentiveness. You made our stay so memorable, we look forward to visiting and staying with you again and again.

I love an eco vibe. Everything seems sustainable. The staff are very kind and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were SO delicious and probably everything was from their farm. I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoyed the many activities they have available, but I was only passing through. Stay here, you won’t regret it!

United StatesThe hill to get there is pretty rough when it's raining sometimes transportation wants to charge higher prices because of the road. Otherwise, I love everything about the place. Even considering the road, I'd still come back..
Everything! I've come four separate times on my trip to Tanzania. It is like a little nature retreat. Great staff, excellent cooks, wonderful breakfast, peaceful environment, comfortable rooms, quotes and art everywhere. I love it!

United KingdomSometimes the staff wasn't really bothered but overall it was good.
We spent 3 nights at Banana farm and had such a good time. We stayed in one of the eco cabins which felt like a little adventure and the view on Mount Meru was great. The food was good and there was so much to do: outdoor cinema, painting, going down the river. It was perfect with a toddler and great environment to relax.

TanzaniaThis place is amazing and so so lovely! I stayed for one night, but decided to extend. Rooms were comfortable, hot shower, delicious food and very cheap - from farm to table, very fresh and tasty. Staff is lovely and they really make effort to host you well. Every corner of the farm is nicely decorated. You get to eat bananas as much as you want. There is a spot to enjoy the nature and view of the Mount Meru peak.. also you get to meet a lot of people, nice travellers, make friends. Will definitely come back

United KingdomNothing wrong but something to note: The road is bad getting to the farm so don’t come with a tuk tuk
I stayed in a one room cabin and it was amazing. The banana and coffee plants were directly in front of my room and even when it was chucking it down with rain it was still so nice to sit on the veranda. It was very reasonably priced The whole place is beautifully done. They’ve taken care of every detail. The tour was really interesting. You don’t just learn about all the plants but also the plans for the future. The food was really tasty.
