Little bit dirty outside of the resort - rubbish and ruins... But this is every day reality of Zanzibar.

Little comfortable resort with maximum use of space. Very enjoyed the food here and also evening relax with music in the outside swimming pool. Very pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. You can run here along to the long beach. When the sea cooperates, it can be more than 10 kilometers :)

Ground floor rooms are a bit dark.

Located right by the beach, Chikachika is an excellent value for money option. Rooms are simple yet very comfortable. We really liked the pool. It is very convenient that Café Dodoki with wide selection of tasty meals is located at the property so no need to go far when hungry. The staff was nice, Tony was always ready to help and even surprised us with complimentary fish dinner.

Wonderful, small oasis close to the busier parts of Nungwi, but located in the midst of local housings and business. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and above all: the food was amazing.

The A/C was usualy not working during the day, but if you are at the beach or pool it does’t matter. Worked well during the nights.

There were electricity outage at times and it could be very hot when there's no fan or aircondition. Bf wasn't great. Some staffs are friendly and some are not. Rooms are quite small so it's a bit expensive for the price that we paid.

May be a bit far from the center of Nungwi and Nungwi beach and restaurants but on the other hand on the quiet part of the beach which is worth a lot. Not really on the beach but at 15 meters. In the evening we needed a taxi for going to the restos but staying at the B&B restaurant is also a perfect option

I'm delighted. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and tidy, food in restaurant delicious, if you want to go for some trip just ask everything will be organised. Bed very comfortable. If I wanted to eat red snapper it was ordered from local fisherman and next day I had fresh delicious dinner. I felt like family member not like an stranger. I'm absolutely happy that I stayed in Chikachika beach B&B. Maybe one day I'll return there 🙂

the people that are working at ChikaChika are one of a kind. They are friendly, kind, and took care of our daughter as if she was a friend‘s child. Food is very delicious and the portion is very generous. You can also book tours and transfers directly with ChikaChika, we made the mistake of booking a few things months before booking the hotel. However, we booked pne tour with them and it was great.

Our room had a slight damp smell when we arrived but after leaving the windows open for a few hours it cleared up. Mosquito nets looked like they might be a bit past their prime but they worked fine and Zanzibar is not a malaria nor mosquito hotspot anyway.

Fantastic accommodation. 50m from the sea without paying the premium for the sea view. The on-site restaurant and bar were both great. The rooms were big and the airconditioner worked well. Your host, Tony, and all other staff members were very friendly and helpful with any activities we wanted to organise. The accommodation has a very relaxed atmosphere without a compromise on quality. Nungwi beach is a very popular tourist destination. The east side of Nungwi is the main beach and is mostly very large resorts and hotels. Balcony house is slightly removed from this, which my partner and I were very grateful for. It does mean that if you're looking to partake in some more touristy activities or to eat at the resort restaurants, you need to be willing to walk a kilometer or two up the beach. My partner and I spent most of our time just walking on the beach and swimming in the sea and so appreciated being away from the tourist rush. That being said, that side of Nungwi is definitely in the process of being developed so may itself be a touristy area in the near future. All considered - if I return to Zanzibar I would 100% stay here again!!
