A little more choice at breakfast, preferably avocado, more fruits. The shower in the room lacked drainage, the whole bathroom became a lake and also ran into the room. The description of the room stated sea view, this is not true. Only some rooms have a sea view. Better description and pictures of the different rooms would be more accurate. We were persuaded to book our snorkelling trip through the hotel, it was more expensive but would be better than booking with someone directly on the beach? Don't know if there was any difference except that we had to pay more...

The location in Nungwi was perfect. Directly on the beach and a quieter part of the village. Right on the beach, the staff were nice and helpful, okay breakfast, clean big rooms. Appreciated that there were sunbeds in the hotel garden by the beach. The restaurant had a nice view and the food was good, (but we only had lunch once.)

Staying at Double A in Zanzibar was an absolute delight, and it felt like discovering a hidden gem. The service was impeccable – from the attentive staff to the thorough room service, which surprised us with 2-3 daily visits ensuring a pristine room, fresh towels, drinking water and insect/mosquito protection. The culinary experience was a highlight; breakfast was a feast of delicious omelettes, fresh fruits, and juices. Lunches and dinners showcased a diverse menu with scrumptious seafood, but also great beef, and chicken. These guys are great in cooking. Kudos to the chef for the delightful complimentary tastes, from mini-pizzas to pasta and pastries, leaving us eager to explore the full menu. The poolside, complete with sunbeds, provided a serene escape from beach boys, and the nearby beach added to the charm. Being close to the Lulu diving center was a huge plus for us as amateur divers, making our stay both relaxing and adventurous. Celebrating our anniversary at Double A was memorable, and the beachfront location provided a picturesque backdrop for amazing photos. The bar, equipped with darts and American pool, added a fun touch to our evenings, both as a couple and with new friends from the diving center.

I was recommended by a friend, it was worth.   This lovely boutique hotel is located right on the Nungwi beach, just a few steps from the Ocean and very close to various bars & restaurants. It is an ideal starting point for long beach walks, boat trips and other water activities. With a private, relaxing atmosphere, stunning views, and a shaded pool, it's perfect for families. The food in hotel restaurant delicious. Staff members are warm-hearted, helpful and demonstrated hospitality, ensuring our comfort and accommodating our requests with a smile. They also make sure that you are not bothered by local beach boys when staying on the front raw sun-beds. The clean, spacious, air-conditioned rooms with comfortable beds enhance your stay experience. Don't miss out on their excellent massage service.

I had a wonderful experience at Double A Nungwi Beach Hotel I went for a day break and I had a wonderful experience at Double A Nungwi Beach Hotel! The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The rooms were impeccably clean, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. We were expecting a sea view, as this was paid for it but unfortunately, this hotel lacks such a feature, perhaps only one room offers it. We encountered problems with water pressure and experienced electricity outages for several hours. The breakfast options were limited and served later than the advertised opening hours. Additionally, the swimming pool was consistently dirty, likely due to overhanging trees. Although beach access was mentioned, it was obstructed by flagging water flow.

I appreciated the warm and welcoming attitude of the staff, particularly the manager, who went out of their way to ensure our comfort. However, the venue did not match the description provided, and not all information regarding additional charges was disclosed on the website. We have encouraged charges while paying with card, charges that hasn't been mentioned on the booking stage.

Double A was an amazing place to stay. Right on the beach. The hotel is very clean. The food was amazing. Fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the chicken curry every day. Amazing breakfast, too. The staff were very attentive, respectful, and friendly. The views were amazing. The area is full of life. We loved our stay.

There was nothing to dislike.

Everything was great. The food and the cocktails were delicious (much better than most restaurants that I tried in Zanzibar), the staff was really friendly and took care well about the needs of guests, the room was comfortable and the location was just excellent with view of ocean from the resort. It's still a new property, so not many people know about it yet but I think it was worth every penny for me.
