You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The service at this hotel was exceptional. We expected a basic service as it is a 2 star hotel, however the service and facilities (and staff) were at least 4 stars. The hotel goes the extra mile with for example snacks before dinner which makes it very personal. I would definitely recommend this hotel - the staff (Rehema, Emmanuel, Jackson, Vincent and others) even taught us basic phrases in Swahili.

Very warm welcome before we even checked in, there was luggage assistance, chocolates offered and refreshment drink at the reception. The receptionist was very professional. There was no hassle during check-in, and she was kind enough to give us options to choose a suitable room. The beds are comfy, clean and views from the room balcony are spectacular!. The housekeeper was kind and provided all we needed. The breakfast buffet had quite a number of selections from hot dishes to pasries, fruits, and live cooking station, the restaurant staff are kind and professional too. The pool area is well maintained and not crowded. Green side hotel exceeded my expectations, and their value for guest is top-notch!

I love the personalized service of The Green Mountain and Greenside Hotel properties! As a frequent visitor to their hotels, they upgraded me to a nicer room. Also, I needed to visit a hair salon, and they took care of all the arrangements for that, including escorting me to the salon and making sure they had a functional generator since the power was out in the city. This type of customer service is what keeps me coming back. The management and staff are exceptional! Also, as a vegan, I appreciated the fresh and homemade veggie burger. it was delicious!

As always, the customer service at Green Mtn and its affiliate Green Side is exceptional. When I needed to get my hair done, they found a salon for me, and even arranged to get a generator going during the power outage so that my hair could be done. Thank you for amazing customer service! Also, my partner was happy that you had football channel in the room!

MalawiFirst, the music played in the entire hotel with ceiling speakers can be really loud. Even while in my room, I could hear it word for word. I even had to ask them to switch it off on the first day. Second, though, the room and bathroom room were clean. If I closed the bathroom windows, which I wanted to do because it was cold, the bathroom would become stinky. In addition, there was no consistency in having a bathroom mat, I only had it one night.
The staff were really friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean.

United KingdomThe eating area aka “restaurant” was under a scaffolding and dirty plastic sheets. Not sure why they felt it’s appropriate serve anyone food there. Breakfast options were so poor… not that we ate anything served in such space. The massive room we were given was on a top floor despite the hotel being empty. No lift to reach it- handy with heavy bags! Power outage- a common event which is understandable in the area tho staff didn’t care to advise more or provide options for light to reach the room safely which is left open and unsecured. Room had no AC but they provided a fan, the deposit box wasn’t working- no batteries in it. The room was simply sad with hanging cables… The bathroom facilities simply too horrific to describe. So many wrongs in this hotel but hopefully they can fix it soon.
Clean bed. There’s so much room for improvement but very little communication from staff who is actually quite lovely.
