Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgOur only critique is that they don’t offer lunch or dinner (yet).
Very friendly and helpful staff, they really care for you and try to help out for all kinds of situations (eg. food, taxi, public transport, trips, extra blanket, etc). The place is very clean and comfortable, the beds are nice too.

BelgiumNothing but I just wanna say that It's wrong indicated on booking. Coming from Dar Es Salaam go right and immediately right again at the big roundabout. (Uru Road). Then take the 4th street on the left and soon you'll see the guesthouse on the right side.
Good place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. Friendly people and a great breakfast so nothing to complain about.

GermanyVery friendly staff, always helping you out when you need it. They did our laundry for a very little price snd they even ordered food for us! In Moshi, it sometimes happens that the electricity doesn't work, so no hot shower then. But thats not the hotels fault.

GermanyWe stayed in two different rooms. The bathroom of the first one was quite dirty, the second one was fine, though. On the last morning, the toast that we got for breakfast was moldy.
Nice place with beautiful outdoor area in quiet neighborhood, spacious rooms, friendly staff.

GermanyWe had an enjoyable stay in a very big room with private bathroom and fan. It was rather chilly so no need for aircon. Our highlight was the time we spent together with Sam. He is a very friendly, honest and reliable person and easy to get along with. When we arrived he supported us in planning our tour for the next day both with ideas and booking. Then he showed us around in Moshi by Tuktuk and walking. We had great conversations and he told us so much about Tanzania what we didn’t know. It was a lot of fun and very insightful at the same time. The tour he recommended for the next day was Mataruni Waterfalls and it was a brilliant day with many things to discover! In the end we extended our stay and also got a lot of support from Sam for booking our 4 day Safari!

TanzaniaI stayed at the Adventure Nest for one night. I had asked to be picked up at the airport and someone was waiting for me as soon as I got to the exit doors. The room was clean and quaint. Internet was good. I like up early to be surprised by a nice breakfast consisting of bread, fruit, fruit juices and eggs. I had a lot of time until I had to leave so I took a stroll into Moshi, a short 20 minute walk away. The staff provided me with a map and some suggestions of where to eat. Overall, as my first booking.com, it was terrific, exceeded all expectations.

TanzaniaI had the good fortune to stay at the Adventures Nest while volunteering in Moshi. It was my first visit to Tanzania, and Frank and the rest of the staff made me feel warmly welcomed. They went out of their way to help me find my way around and make me comfortable. I enjoyed getting to know them and now consider them friends. The hotel is a pretty place in a perfect location for walking into town or taking long walks around the lovely neighborhood. (Room, restaurant -Excellent!) Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the front garden was the perfect place to work in the morning or relax in the evening. Asante sana, Frank and everyone.

TanzaniaEverything is Excellent!
Really excellent, friendly staff. Place was clean and nicely decorated. In a lovely area of town away from the hubbub of central so can be peaceful and relaxing. Lovely to sit on the sofas or tables outside in the green garden. Frank was able to recommend reliable and affordable safari and Kili companies, and always on hand to fix things or deal with any problems or even sort out SIM cards etc. Breakfast was delicious consisting of fruit salad, eggs (fried or scrambled), with toast, homemade peanut butter and delicious fresh homemade passionfruit/mango juice. I was staying for six weeks as part of a larger group and we all loved Adventures Nest and it felt like home. Thank you for having us!
