i was in a 5 bed dorm room. They have to fans but they're in the middle of the room and in the begiining of feb it was still pretty hot.

f you want to visit a quiet location like Jambiani, then this is the hostel for you. I had a bed in a 5-bed dorm. The bathrooms are quite large and clean. The bar is opp the road facing the ocean and the where everyone hangs out. The staff (isaac and gang) is super helpful with whatever you need.

It is a bit difficult to reach the accommodation if you are traveling by boda boda at night.

breakfast is good and it is in front of the beach, which is pretty nice. The shared rooms are pretty big and shared amenities like the shower and bathroom are very clean.

I have nothing to complain about. Everything was very good!

Kimte Beach Lodge is very good located, near the beach, and the restaurant is on the beach. The transfer to and from the airport was prompt and safe. The food is delicious and served quickly. The staff is very kind and attentive, I came as a tourist and left as a friend. We were treated with care and hospitality, which is why I thank them once again, and the Mzungu hugs them!

There was a power cut out and there wasn't any backup power of any kind. We had to sleep through the whole night sweating out, and there was no water at all, we left next day without taking shower in the morning. It will be lovely if they could install a Water Tank and some sort of back up power in the future. One of the pillow was not pleasant, it's something that will be easy to fix.

The bathroom was clean, the room itself was satisfying. Huh, the food is tasty and exceptional!!!!! It's just made with love! We ordered a Fish Burger.. Huh, the fries were crunchy! The bread and fish was amazing and just lovely and the way they serve it, it's just beyond expectations! Fruit Juice are fresh, sodas were served cold and soothing to drink! Breakfast was amazing, it's all kudos to the Chef, he or she is doing an amazing Job!

If you have the chance to stay at Kimte, you HAVE to do it. From the first moment we felt so relaxed and content, with the staff, the amazing view, the food and the sweet dogs that hang around there. I can't express how peaceful I felt during my stay at Kimte, it was such a wonderful experience! You literally have breakfast AT the beach, and it only takes 10 min to walk to the busier area with more restaurants along the beach. Thank you so much for this amazing time, I only think about going back!

No Wi-Fi in the room, cool hotel bar but very windy in the evening - you can’t just hand there around, no air conditioning in the room - we could barely sleep and woke up sweaty. Two situations that shouldn’t have happened: 1. When our stay came to an end, we had an emergency situation, as our flight was canceled and rebooked for in 4 days. We decided to extend our stay in Kimte. The staff, referring to the hotel manager, wanted $30 per person in a shared room per night and $45 for a double room. A total of $300, at the same time Booking priced our stay for $150 for all persons per stay! We felt that they wanted to take advantage of us. 2. One day the staff informed me that the girls who share a room with me were moving out, a group of 4 other people were coming to take their place. Although I asked what this group was, I was informed that they did not know. It turned out that I ended up in a room as the only woman with 4 men aged 60+, which was very uncomfortable. I understand that it was a shared room, but there are some unwritten rules in hostels. Did anyone think about my safety????

We enjoyed the nice setting of basic accomodation (but super hot shower) on one hand of the road and cosy Restaurant and Bar on the seaside, the wonderful open beach (with no construction like fences or walls), the relaxed atmosphere and super kind and helpful stuff!
