There was not a single thing I did not like and not one thing I would have changed.

This was an absolute dream hotel in a beautiful location. The hotel itself was stunning and extremely well designed. The public areas were beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The pool was perhaps the best pool I have ever been and oftentimes I was the only person in there. The room was huge and very well designed with a beach view, private balcony, ready nook, exceptionally comfortable bed, and massive and well equipped bathroom. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all of my needs were met, including accommodating a vegan diet. I genuinely do not have a single thing I would have changed about my stay and I am already plotting when I can return. If you are debating whether or not this is the hotel for you, don't hesitate.

There were some slips with the entertainment but nothing to spoil the experience. Our room was next to the parking lot so at times we heard chats early in the morning.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is stunning - turquoise water and white sand - the whole nine yards. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was great, room was comfy and expansive.

Wish it had more amenities/things to do at the resort, but I understand that it’s still new. The resort at least has day activities to keep people somewhat occupied.

* a lot of people put towels on the sun beds on the beach to reserve them so it was difficult to get a bed under an umbrella. I was usually able to get a bed by the pool which was fine.

Zanzibar itself has very frequent power failures and poor infrastructure, which creep into various activities during your stay at this resort. The beach is used by locals for seaweed farming and, therefore, is hard to enjoy. Locals use the beach to sell goods or pester guests for business reasons (selling clothes or providing tours), which means if you are looking for a secluded and relaxing beach, this is not the one to use (perhaps Zanzibar in general). This is probably an issue with the whole island rather than this specific resort. The 'gym' is very small, such that no more than two people can use it at any point in time.

The property is the best you can find in Zanzibar. The staff were perfect. In general, Tanzanians were extremely helpful and hospitable, and their attention to detail was phenomenal.

We had an incredible experience at LUX Marijani! From the moment we arrived, we felt the professionalism of the staff, who were precise, joyful, and helpful. The hotel itself was beautiful and exceeded our expectations, and all the services provided were accurate and perfect. We also had the opportunity to try out the newly opened restaurant, which had great food and a nice ambience with live music. We would like to give a special thanks to Grace and Ally, who made our stay absolutely perfect. We will be back! Hotels require exceptional staff to represent the brand successfully.

The electricity went off and on throughout the property and perhaps the island. It was very hot everywhere and the restaurant has no ac. Getting our food was very hot as the heating elements for the dishes were on. The staff had b.o. problems. The New Year's Eve music was horrible. The east side is limited in snorkeling due to tide movement. Go North or South.

The property architecture is beautiful. They have guards to block the multitude of beach peddlers from approaching the sunbathing guests on the property. The drinks in the all inclusive are strong. The cleaning staff is spot on. The rooms are very nice.

Like everywhere in Zanzibar, the sea is not as great as the beach. There are seaweeds and it's overcrowded with locals trying to sell products, excursions and will definitely make your time at the sea less enjoyable. However, it is safe. Something the resort could do more is to increase buffet menu options. The quality is good but if you stay for instance 10 days, during the second part of your stay will you definitely have the same buffet options that you had in the first part.

You will have a beautiful stay in Marijani, intimate and extremely enjoyable. The staff is amazing. The resort is completely new and clean (they clean the room twice per day). The size is perfect and it's not overcrowded at all. You can completely enjoy your stay with your family or partner. During the day there is the animation staff for the ones who want to do some sports and during dinner, there is typically live music or some artistic show. The staff keeps the beach very clean and safe, hence within the perimeter of the resort the beach looks great and you can fully relax under the umbrellas.

There was a wedding at the resort whilst we were staying there and we were not informed about this prior to our stay. In future guests should definitely have been told about large events happening at the same time as their stay. This is especially the case when you are placed in a bedroom in close proximity to the pool where the party was held, resulting in club like levels of noise. for several nights.

The hotel resort was beautiful, located directly adjacent to a white sandy beach and had all of the facilities one could hope for. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly.

Marijani is a fantastic resort!!! It ticks all the boxes for a 5-star experience and a magnificent break for all ages... Beach, Pool, Staff, Rooms, Facilities... ALL EXCEPTIONAL!!! The 2 Adityas (1 senior and 1 Junior) are the heartbeat of this place. They took care of us whole heartedly. Overall Marijani is worth every penny you spend there!!

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to an executive room with amazing ocean views (Thank you, Fatma!). But the original 'room with a view' we booked had no view to speak of and was at the back end of the garden, near the entrance. Lovely room, no doubt, but had nothing on falling asleep to the sound of waves or waking up to the sight of the glittering ocean at low tide. Book a room with ocean views if you can!

Hotel is as beautiful as in the pictures. Not too big, not too small with absolutely excellent service and good (sometimes great) and varied food. White sandy beach, gorgeous pool and spacious comfy rooms.

I absolutely loved my stay at Marijani. The resort is extremely beautiful, the beach is stunning and the food at the restaurant is very high quality. But the best part is the staff, I am really really happy I met such great people, who were not only highly professional, but also kind, friendly, and always ready to help. I would recommend Marijani to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable experience in Zanzibar. I am looking forward to coming back!

We booked 5 rooms but none of them had beach view, we were told it was fully booked. I didnt really like the food. It had variety but few opitons were suitable. Also i thought the price is a bit high.

The rooms and overall property is new, very neat and clean. I liked the design. The nightly activities like dancing and live music was excellent. The beach was very close and very nice.
