Nothing! Maybe mention that the place can be a bit hard to reach by foot with luggage or with a taxi because the road leading to it is very rocky & bumpy

Nam is amazing. She’s so kind & gave us everything we needed. We could even choose out of all the free rooms as they did not have a lot of other guests. Breakfast was always so diverse & complete: fruit, pancakes, eggs, toast etc: amazing! If we had any questions we could always ask Nam & she was extremely kind en helpful :) She made us feel at home. The place is beautiful; an outside shower, beautiful clean rooms with eye for detail, amazing food (also dinner!!) Would definitely come back!

One sink and one shower risk creating a line, there is limited outside space to sit/relax.

Nice clean room and comfortable common areas. The breakfast is fantastic. But, as others have said - what makes this place is Nam. She is a calming presence and always welcoming and helpful. She is also a great cook. Highly recommend it and being out of town is no problem - it is easy enough to get a dalla dalla to town

Location was a little out of town but was quiet and calm which was what we needed after a safari.

Quiet spot with clean rooms and lovely staff. Breakfast was fantastic.

We stayed in that hostel 1 night. Very nice for short term stay. Extremely good for the price we paid. Nice staff, positive and helpful. We were offered to change our room with one double bed (i travelled with my sister) to a bigger room with separate beds, which was nice. Simple but nice breakfast.

The only downside of the Mambo Hostel is the location. It's too far away from the main action.. And taxis to down town Arusha is kind expensive..

The customer service was excellent. Nam the girl in charge was greater. She made us feel at home. She really took care of us to all we needed to.. We really love her. 👏 👏 👏

Host is very friendly and the food is great, better than in many restaurants in town. Cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was shared but very clean and with different kind of soaps/ shampoos available.

It’s not related to the hostel, but almost every day took places power cuts in the whole district, which caused insignificant inconveniences. However, the hostel is equipped with spare light bulbs with batteries and power generator to mitigate these problems.

Cozy, clean, and very friendly environment! Simplistic, but thoroughly detailed design, spacious soft beds, lovely staff (host Nam and guard Josi). The ratio price/quality is the best, the hostel is located not far from the city center, 10 min ride on motorbike. Beautiful landscape, nice weather. Everything is just perfect!

The breakfast was very delicious, we don’t have a breakfast like this, it was fantastic. And the nice woman from the reception bring us to the bus station and wait for our bus with us. Very nice host friendly!

Loved loved loved our stay at Mambo. Highly recommend it if you want an affordable stay while in Arusha. It's a little out of central Arusha but there are plenty of activities on offer through the hostel. Definitely do the coffee plantation tour if you can. The breakfast and dinner meals here were the best local food we had in Tanzania. So delicious!

I'm 1,91m tall and the bed was about 1,85m with a wooden bar on both ends... wasn't to bad cuz my girlfriend is tiny and we could sleep diagonal 😆

The first accommodation with a musical instrument (a guitar)! Super chill and friendly staff and vibe. Food and coffee was great 👍. A solid 10/10
