I absolutely recommend this accommodation to any traveler whether alone, as a couple, with family or with friends. I stayed more than two months in this quiet house, with all the necessities and well decorated. Moreover, Dee is the perfect host, attentive when needed, she stays in touch and we had a great time playing board games, watching movies and cooking together. Finally, If you need help with a touristic tour, she can help you too! Asante Sana !!

Dee made her place our favorite spot in the whole Tanzania! He and Pete just made our stay exceptional! The place is super clean, cosy, comfortable.. we had a movie night together and cooked together (by the way she's an excellent cook!), She was our guide to see the most beautiful parts of surroundings of Moshi. Dee became more than a host, she became our friend! We even saw a Kilimanjaro from her garden on our first morning! Love that rasta couple! Nothing more to say.

Dee and Peter's place is a gorgeous newly renovated house with a large garden where you can feel completely safe and comfortable, and even see the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro from afar if you're lucky on a clear morning like we were! The breakfast that was included was very very nice, eggs how you like them with tea or coffee, toast with delicious honey and fresh fruit, and the dinner that you can add for a reasonable price was exceedingly good on the two times that we did so. We ate communally with Dee and Peter and another guest who was staying, and even had a little movie night together! Everyone was amazing - we only wish we had stayed longer in Moshi, and will almost certainly be back to visit who we consider newfound friends! Thanks for everything!

Darlie is really welcoming and can help with everything you need in town and you feel like at home at Mkoani homestay. The place is cosy and in a quiet area near by a river. Yummy breakfast.

Mosquito net and its frame fell apart on us during the night- suggest that they are reinforced to prevent this from happening again. Mattress is a bit worn but still comfortable.

Dee is a great host and was easy and prompt in communication. Her place is clean and secure and in a quiet area of Moshi. She went out of her way to help us with restuarant recommendations, local transport and allowing access to the room after checkout time for a quick shower.

In booking it said that it had brakfast and we only got hot water and instant coffee. Also there is not breakfast at all.

The hosts were fantastic. Super helpful and friendly. They assisted us with getting a car (rental) which was useful for getting around Moshi. They also had a great breakfast setup.

Unfortunately it was not what I was expecting from all the positive reviews,the host would not even draw a little sketch to show me how to get there in the maze of streets from the main road,even the motorbike driver had to call her twice to get me at the door,very stressful when the host does not even bother to tell you where you stay ,and even for toilet paper I had to ask again and again and again till she would decide to put a new onel, everything a struggle,I thought from the reviews that the host would be friendly but even a hi was too much for her,it was a horrible experience. The worst however was the unspeakable filth,food was everywhere rotting in the kitchen from chicken and cups and Tanzanian foods which were rotting for more than 48hoursto everything else fruits breakfast etc etc there was no space left to even put a dish somewhere and the stench was unbearable. I don't care how mean and filthy people are in their lives,when they offer a homestay sanitary rules should be kept,a toxic and unpleasant environment,I actually took photos and I am filing a complain at booking.com because this is a health hazard.i also add that the never cleaned bathroom had a shower with such few drops that I bend over the faucet to wash my hair and I would throw water on me from there to clean the lather

Mkoani homestay is an excellent accommodation in Moshi, Tanzania. I was very comfortable during my stay here. The shower was amazing and was the best I had during my 5 weeks in Tanzania. The rooms were great and equipped with fans, freshly sprayed mosquito nets and incense which was a great touch. Breakfast was also provided and was of high quality and available at any time. The Host Dee was very welcoming and accommodating for requests E.g. leaving luggage, changing rooms. Having spent time in Moshi before my arrival I did not need much help getting around but heard from other guests during my stay that she is very helpful for hints and tips. I would recommend this place to anyone and I will be coming back here when I next come back. Thank you!
