The biggest, main pool was closed for maintenance the whole time we were there and looked like it had been out of use for a while. No compensation was given for this. It was hard to book the restaurants through the app as the spots were quickly booked up. The entertainment could have been better rehearsed!

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Beach was amazing and the water a gorgeous colour. There were a lot of food options but slightly repetitive, all in all we had an amazing holiday full of sunsets and dolphins.

The food was all round amazing. A huge variety, lots to eat, very tasty. All inclusive included all drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic. Staff are friendly and curteous and always looking out for your comfort. The place is always super clean

This resort is just unbelievable. A lot of entertainment and closer to the popular tourist sites. The workers at the property are super friendly and welcoming. They always greet Jambo anywhere they see you. The beach and the Jetty bar too is another story. Had a lovely stay with my wife and she loved this resort so much. Mr Williams always checking us to see if we are okay and need anything. Wilson too was very helpful at the restaurant on the Jetty when we had our dinner dates. It was an amazing holiday for us. Abundance of food and drinks for us. Our massage too was great. All the facilities in this resort are amazing and I am glad we chose Hotel Riu Jambo, Hakuna Matata!!!

Your toilets needs shattaf and the soaps plus toothbrush and toothpaste must be put all the time , cause we don’t expect to go to the hotel bathrooms and toiletries aren’t there

The food spread was a variety though gets repetitive after a number of meals. Increase the number of pools.

There are no coral or fish to see while snorkeling along the beach. Though there were some at night near the pier bar area. Location is an hour and half drive from Stone Town.

Great beach area with palm trees and plenty of beach chairs. Large selection of food. The entertainment in the evening was great. The rooms are very spacious and modern.

Perfect choice, beach is not over crowed and you do not get approaches as much as on kendawa, but still close enough if you want to go for a walk to kendawa. Staff are great and theres always something to do (activity etc)

There was no music or holiday ambience in the dining areas. The sound of hundreds of people eating put me off and there was no feeling of having a relaxing meal on holiday. The places with music was confined to the pool bar and the beach bar. There were no couches or conformable seats anywhere in the beach areas to relax on the beach. The beach loungers were comfortable but there was no "chill". Walking a few km to Kendwa there are beach bars with comfortable sofas and had a more relaxed chill ambience.

All facilities were tidy and very well maintained. Staff were friendly and responsive, beach was excellent with natural trees acting as umbrellas, enough shade for everyone. Amazing exclusive jetty on the water to get drinks.

We loved that they had a kids club for our 5year old and 2year old and lots of activities for everyone to enjoy like water polo, volleyball, bingo , water aerobics etc.The food was incredible, such a large spread. The staff were so friendly and helpful - we really can’t fault our stay!

One pool was under construction which created an unacceptable noise level of we were nearby. Easy enough to move but would have been nice to know before we booked. l

The meals were beyond amazing. A bit difficult to get reservations for the “private” dining options but we were lucky enough after several tries. Lovely after checkout option to take showers before our departure. The inhouse tour company was a bit disappointing. Conflicting information and then finally told we would be bussed to a location more than an hour south. Beyond ridiculous. Was able to book through trip advisor and be picked up on our beach, spending more time in the water for less money.

We loved everything, the way the food was prepared and presented from breakfast to dinner. The bar the staff was friendly the drinks 🍹 were perfectly mixed according to our preferences. Very clean , the DJ,s at night accommodated everyone amazing environment not forgetting the theatre shows and dinner live music 🎼… I was impressed

We couldn’t find a fault a single thing about this hotel. The staff were all incredible, especially the serving staff and the animation team (Salama and Hay are the best!). Every detail has been thought of such as the incredible oversea restaurants and bars, the security on the beach so that you always feel you can leave your belongings while you go to swim in the amazing water, pool bar, kids club, evening entertainment and a weekly beach party. There were kayaks, paddle boards and pedlos available for use as well for no extra cost. We arranged several tours all of which were great. The food and drink was all incredible quality and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We really really hope to come back again!

Well before coming i had read about the hawks, but was still surprised with the numbers on the beach, made eating on the beach front unbearable for my kids. But its nature so i guess there is limit to how it can be controlled It was a drive from the airport. Took about 2hrs to get there, but will say the hotel ambience made up for that

My family and I got to spend 3 nights. Loved the all inclusive package. the non stop food and drinks , it was good knowing that even though you may missed a meal, there was always snacks available. I also enjoyed the fact there were different activities planned by the hotel everyday for those wanting to participate I think that was good as well
