Great stay, beautiful place and staff

The only thing I'd say is the price of the meals that were displayed at 15,000 TZN shilling and charged me 20,000 in the end.. not a big difference, but just not accurate about the price you think you'd have to pay, and over ten meals or so, still a price difference. Portions could be improve a bit too for the price, especially if you have a good appetite.

My stay at Sazani was great, it met my needs for my standards. The room was confortable and big enough for me, the "private" beach when high tide is great and as it's out of the village and the tourists crowds, you'll feel like on a private spot! The staff was really nice, kind, and helpful, thanks to you Lisa, Agnesi, Bakari and Saidi! The view from my room was nice, and I felt like home from the very beginning! It's a bit remote from the village itself, which didn't bother me, but if you want to be close from the tourist and crowded area, you'd have to put that in the balance. Breakfast was also really good and filling to start a nice day! I'd definitely recommand this place and I'll come back for sure.

The garden area around the place is not so well looked after and some minor details missing inside the room like a hook to hang for towel, not possible to lock the bathroom door because missing hole to insert the lock.

The place is really quite and peacefull. Beach is very private and sea view is astonishingly beautiful. Comfortable and clean bed! Rooms are very simple and not much decorated. Staff are also very kind and welcoming and the new chef suleiman has a great record working as a chef with other famous chefs from around the world. The food he made was really tasty and good! If i come back to Zanzibar i will definitley come back to this place.

Breakfast could have had a bit more variety. An AC in the room would be great. Some plumbing issues with water supply.

Right on the beach. Very private beach. We were the only guests.

I really like the staff, all staff who works there really add the value to the place, from maid, gatekeeper, to the manager and owner. Lisa (manager) was great, she was really trying to make your stay as pleasant as it can be. I will never forget the place, its so rural, natural, i could really feel the africa.. there were many evenings we just hung and talk in the resort, accompanied with the most kind dog and two cute cats. The soap in the bathroom was also out of this world, natural and smell so good.

Nice place to stay only I need to mention one thing. There was water problem in my room Whenever I go bathroom open Tap, there is no water. So I had to go reception every time and asked them to on the solar power. It's was annoying and frustrating

Location is on beach, which is nice Very quite place, away from tourists area. Peaceful place Staff was nice.

The only thing I missed was an AC, fan didn’t have enough power.

A wonderful and beautiful place to relax! The Lodges are all located right at the Ocean, Ocean view included. The beach is empty, I have been alone at the beach most of the times. Staff was very welcoming and helped with every question. My plan was to stay 1 1/2 weeks, but I extended, because I felt so comfortable there. :)

There is nothing to not like if you are looking to relax. If you decide to want some more action you will need to take a taxi, but that will happily be organized by the team.

This a Tanzanian Gem. From our first step onto this premises until now, we felt we were visiting friends and family. A wonderful team will make you stay 100% relaxed, fun and comfortable. This is a place were for sure people wanted to go 2 days and left after 3 months. It has a magical vibe that will slow you down and want to just breath in the ocean air and enjoy the views of the colorful ocean. It would not surprise us if romantic novels would have been written on one of the many chill spots created to just sit, relax and be. And the food is amazing and prepared with so much love. And please read the menu carefully : Fresh not fast :) ... This Gew is in total a place to go and just be.

It lacks air conditioning which I think is a must in such hot weather. We were provided with a fan which helped.

The staff is exceptional. The food and the location were perfect too. If you are looking for privacy and staying away from the noise that’s the spot. The beach is private and very beautiful.

    Absolutely nothing

I’ve never been anywhere so beautiful, this place is unique in Zanzibar. I read reviews and was a bit worried but it just took my breath away with its beauty. The service was amazing, food delicious beach the whitest sand I’ve ever seen , sea the most turquoise, quite no hassle like other beaches just idyllic. Basilisa and Nasir are the perfect hosts, they were starting Sunday events while I was there, a moon rise dinner and then lazy Sunday afternoons with acoustic music… fantastic food, set menu… yummm

Can’t recommend this place enough! The breakfast and location are on point. We got fresh fruit, juice, delicious french pressed coffee and we could chose from a selection of eggs with local pastries of the day. And to top it all off you can go for a morning dip on one of the most beautiful private beaches I’ve seen in Zanzibar. Its the perfect place to lounge in the sun, nestled between the rocks on the beach or just chill on the couches and read a book. The location is so private and peaceful, which isn’t easy to find these days in Zanzibar. The staff are lovely and there is such a chilled vibe which makes you feel right at home. Will definitely be back!

We felt like the room in the photos was not similar to what we were offered at the premises, but we were able to talk to the host about that The beds were not very comfortable and the curtains did not provide much privacy. The owner could do something about maintaining the place. Value for money not achieved

Sazani is located in a great place just next to the beautiful Nugwi beach. It is beautiful to watch people do watersporting. The breakfast was great. Fresh fruits and great pancakes and mandazi. The host and his staff are also very kind and engaging.

unfortunately they didn’t have a restaurant and it’s 1.5 km walk to closest descent place. Nearby area has many large resorts that has build huge walls which makes it feel a bit unsafe even though it was perfectly fine for us. if every place was as Sazani beach lodge it would be much better! Zanzibar should really review their urban planning for better development in the future.

amazing location with a very calm beach. No sellers on the beach which is a huge contrast to other places at Nungwie. we loved that it was so calm and relaxing, felt very remote and we often had the beach completely for ourselves.

We loved everything about this lodge! We booked for 2 night but we extended our stay until the end of our holiday in Zanzibar! No word to describe how Nas and the team made us feel like home! Breakfast was delicious everyday something new and fresh fruit from the garden. Please if you are looking for a relaxing place full of good vibes make yourself a favor and stay here. The beautiful beach is located literally under your stylish room. We appreciate how the staff was so friendly and ready to help anytime. Definitely on our next trip to Zanzibar this is the only place where we are gonna stay. Thank you for making our holiday so special we'll never forget the experience. Well done!!

Serenity. Placidity. Privacy. It was my most enjoyable stay on Zanzibar by a mile. The place is a little far from the busy town and its beaches, but that is a great plus for me. The best beach, private at high tide. Can only recommend.
