- AC did not work in one of the rooms, and simply worked like a fan. The alternative room also had a similar issue. This trend seems to indicate an issue with lack of maintenance and regular checks. It should not be for the customer to check that everything is working. - WiFi and mobile data was limited in the rooms. So if you need to do anything online, you may have to do in reception area.

- Quiet location at the edge of Mikumi. - Good on-site restaurant. - On-site swimming pool.

Wonderfull pool -clean, very good quality with sails over your head, so we can spend time there in the shadow. Nice restaurant with the choice of South African wines. Nice staff, very good location - 15 minute drive to .Mikumi National Park.

Didn’t love the lighting in the bungalow. Harsh overhead lights - would benefit from some softer bedside lighting.

Just a teenie bit improvement on the towels, they have lost their Lustre otherwise the bedding all good.

The staff were very friendly, great location right on the highway and close to the national park.

The lighting in the rooms could use help. Some soft light lamps would be helpful. The overhead lights are dim and harsh.

We love Tan-Swiss. The pools are wonderful and clean, the restaurant has a wide variety of tasty local and Swiss cuisine, and the grounds are tidy and the staff are very attentive.

They didnt switch on the water heaters early enough before checkin. Had to wait till late in the night to get the water heated.

They served delicious & fresh food from the kitchen, this improved my overall experience at the Hotel. The staff are also kind and helpful.

Everything was good, even before we arrived, they were very helpful in changing our dates. The room was lovely, with big patio doors opening on to a veranda and trees, the bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water. We went for a couple of days of swimming and relaxation, so the pool was very important and it exceeded expectations, being continuously cleaned and with towels provided each time. Finally, the breakfast was amazing! A big plate of fruit, cereals, eggs, toast, sausage etc and as much tea and coffee as you want. A final word about the staff, who all went out of their way to help us and were a great example of excellent customer service. We will definitely return!

Great base for safari. You can find Samkalina Tours and Safaris here. Check them out. On the first evening of our arrival restaurant staff looked tired and unhappy. Food was ok. There are mosquito nets over the beds and beds are comfortable. In room 7 there was no hot water and the TV remote control was broken. In room 8 there was hot water in the shower. Water in the pool was too cold. Over all this is a good place for few nights and safari.

When I have to leave Tan Swiss to go back to Dar and ultimately South Africa .

Breakfast and dinner is consistently good and the plus factor is the incredible friendliness and commitment of the dinning room , kitchen and in fact all staff . We bought some pineapples on the way to Mikumi and the staff not only prepared it when necessary , but kept it in the fridge for us . I have been staying at Tan Swiss for the last 10 years and every trip it is the same .....a passion for service . I find Tan Swiss like an oasis in the desert .

Food takes some time to get. Not too bad, but when you are hungry... Maybe a little too high price but won't share us off!
