There are no mosquito nets in the room, it wasnt really necessary since there are only a few mosquitos, but if you need the safety of a net you have to be aware of that. The bed was ok for me but rather hard. All in all the shower was the best one we had throughout our whole stay in Tanzania but it was almost impossible to close the tap without it still leaking water.

The breakfast is great, you have the choice of 3 different types, its tasty and plenty of food. The staff is very friendly even though we had some disscussions about the payment at first, we could clear it all and everything was good. The boss is very friendly and we could even have the room a bit longer since we were the last guests. Its located right at the beach.

Good location 1min. from the beach. Staff helpful and kind. Restaurant "Corner" just located at the hotel and managed by the hotel. Room is basic but clean, good for what it needed.

My only minor complaint would be the bed; the mattress creates a sort of ditch where you’ve been lying but you quickly get used to it and it’s really not a huge deal!

Lovely little property, sympathetically and simply decorated it felt very welcoming and the staff are wonderful. It really feels like a family run business and the food in the restaurant downstairs - The Corner - was delicious, well worth a visit! The shower pressure was great, both hot and cold water and the a/c worked perfectly (very necessary given the temps whilst we were there) The location is great too, literally 2 mins from the beach and there’s an outdoor shower to wash the sand off before you head to your room. Terri who runs the Getaway is super helpful and accommodating, always around if you need something (not sure when she sleeps!) and her team seem to be just as dedicated - it really felt like home by the time we left.

Many people walking past the room to get to the beach/restaurant, no privacy if curtains open alternative is to be in the dark room with curtains closed. No communal/ sitting area away from room.

When we booked we booked 2 rooms for 2 people. It was not at all cleared that we had to say 2 rooms 4 people. Therefore once we got to the hotel we were told we had to pay extra for the extra 2 people that was not listed. Bit disappointed with the advertising.

Location was excellent. Terry was very helpful and an excellent hostess. Breakfast was also good but the staff could at least try to remember a bit more of our routine of what we ordered.

AC was not the best

Staff were so lovely. The space was tidy and clean. Breakfast was just right in the morning and plenty of selection. Amazing value for money. Just seconds walk away from the beach and everything you need at your doorstep

Walls seemed soundproof, however the door and windows let noise in when someone walked by. Mattress and pillows could have been better (you "sink" into them). Power went out a couple of times (not to blame the hotel) and once water stopped running (quickly fixed though). Nice stay despite minor faults!

Perfect location, short walk from the beach. Shops and restaurants close by. Very helpful and friendly staff. Room AC worked well. Breakfast and restaurant very good. Horse stables close if one wants to ride/swim with horses. Walkable distance (via beach) to Kendwa Rocks where we spent a day (access to sunbeds, towels, pool area, beach, WiFi 10usd/pers).

The hotel is super clean, safe, perfect location next to the beach 🏝️ , Many Supermarkets nearby and Ms.TERRY 🩷received me at the reception with incredible smile it made may days .. hope everyone meet with Ms.Terry she is a very supportive and so lovely!…. Don’t forget to try the Pizza 🍕 at hotel’s dining hall it’s one of the best i have eaten (Pizza made in a wood fire oven)

I had friends staying in Nungwi and I was not allowed to have anyone visit me at the hotel. I understand this is a liability, but it was a slight inconvenience

Perfect location right next to the beach. The restaurant that is connected to the hotel has the best pizza from a wood fire pizza oven. The room was cleaned everyday and in general, the facilities are extremely well kept. The owners are both really nice and helpful!

Location just 20m to the beach, breakfast in the pizza restaurant next to hotel had 3 choices and was good. Also try the pizza there! Personell was very helpful and friendly.

The place is only for a “get away trip” or one night stay. It’s suited for a “whole” vacation.

Really cozy and nice place to have a little get away. very friendly staff and nice location. Very close to the beach. Rooms are nice and clean. The room was already ready for us when we arrived which was really nice.

We could not go out from that hotel area. The hotel is standing in middle of souvenir shops , so that p had to pass through there to go to the beach. The beach is totally for tourists place.

The hotel restaurant was always good. The staffs were always friendly and remember us well. The beach is really closed from the hotel. Cleaning ladies came to changed towels more than 2 times in the room.
