Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceI’m very demand regarding food (in Portugal we have delicious food from A to Z: fruit, vegetables, deserts, seafood, meat… ) and I would say there is space to improve on the quality of the food in the hotel. The bread and pastry at the breakfast can improve (diversity and quality), always granola and no other cereals, same jam during the week, any good homemade cake. These are a few examples and I hope for good. 😉 Another topic: I would say the catalogue of experiences / activities are overpriced even if you have in account that usually hotel prices are higher than outside the hotel. Here the differences are more than double so maybe could be revised.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, very well maintained, elegant decoration, you have privacy, the location is perfect: just a few steps from the beach. The staff try their best to be attentive, despite some are naturally friendly (like Rosemary, Joshua and the man that learnt chess with my kids ☺️) but others are not so in a good mood. Service depends on people… but in general you feel that the aim of the hotel is make the guests feel comfortable and happy on their holidays. Keep up the good job.

United StatesThe air conditioning in the private dining area did not work, however Thomas and the HVAC tech attempted to fix it several times. We honestly didn't use our private dining area much. We either ate in the main dining hall or Thomas bought the food out to us by our private pool. This wasn't a problem and did not effect our lovely time there.
The staff was professional, friendly and eager to accommodate. Thomas, our personal butler, was a class act- I could not have asked for anyone better. The property is as advertised. A luxury, high-end experience.

FranceThe only small disappointment is the restaurant: we took the half board offer and if we except the last night à la carte lobster, which was amazing, the rest of the dinners were not as good as I would expect from such an amazing place.
The beach villa is pure paradise: the room is spacious, large and has an interior as well as beautiful exterior bathroom. The luxury is not only that the villa has premium installations but it is space. You have space inside and definitely outside. The sand is as soft as flour the view on the ocean is amazing. The staff was also extremely nice to us and very professional.
