Restaurants in the hotel are far costlier and not any better than more "local" options in the nearby town.

Right at the beach, with great view from the the room, the main restaurant, the pool area and even the (well equipped) gym. Staff were helpful and the place was clean and pleasant.

The rooftop bar / restaurant wasn't that awesome.

Staff were kind and helpful. The pool was great with the ocean sighting. The room was quite big, comfy, offering a wonderful view from the balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Food correct. The honey moon pack included a divine massage. The possibility to enjoy the hotel facilities after checkout with the provision of a shower to wash before leaving for a night flight.

Second stay at Z. Staff are wonderful, food is the best we had on the island and huge variety. Walking distance to other restaurants, beaches. Sunset drinks, beautiful pool area, lovely cocktails, clean facilities. (Also the most expensive place we stayed on the island but well worth it for a perfect stay). Thanks Z

Fantastic location, just on the beach! Amazing breakfast buffet, with different options to choose from. Swimming pool facing the sea... Restaurants by the sea... Hard not to get a wonderful view!

There are some boats in front of the private beach, and it would be a great decision to keep an area free for only to swim.

The room was extremely clean and the staff really helpful and friendly. We loved the location, the dreamy beach in front and the views from our room. What’s more, the hotel has 2 restaurants, with delicious food (but european prices). To end, we would like to underline the kindness of the General Manager, Ramon, who pays attention to every detail to make sure that clients have a great stay! Thank you all!

Terrible WiFi connection. Not very relaxing environment, there was always some noise to hear around this hotel and even from the room (music, people talking, works). This was noticeable to us since we were really looking forward to some calm rest, but probably Nungwi is not the best location for that, rather the south of the island.

Friendly staff, excellent food at the Sexy Fish restaurant, the beautiful view on the sea from the rooom and the Zanzibar Horse Club right next to the hotel.

Superb F&B, Stunning location, great rooms beautifully decorated, but more importantly the team, from the driver from the airport, to housekeeping, security, maintenance, and all of the F&B team, they all took the time to know your preferences, you names, they think ahead and anticipate your needs and maintain consistency in standards and service. They really are an all star team led by an amazing General Manager. I was taken aback by the quality of service and would highly recommend for couples, groups and singles alike.. I too shall be returning.

There wasn't anything much that we didnt like but possibly food prices where quite high in comparison to local food restaurants id advised to venture out and taste the culture in full for a rounded experience. If i could sugest anythinf maybe some fans by the sun beds to keep flys away from drinks and food. Also maybe more security in the daytime hours to prevent the amount of beach boys disturbing us everytime we went to the sea. I didnt mind tobegin with but after a while it becomes slightly annoying that you couldnt venture into the sea without being approached for items to buy and adventures when relaxation is at the forefront of your vacation but nevertheless would definitely go back to Z Hotel its a beautiful place beautiful people and quite possibly paradise.

I loved the hotel stay in truth me and my girlfriend really enjoyed ourselves celebrating my 30th birthday. The facilities were all good acceable for guests. The sexy fish restaurant is exactly what it decibws as breakfast and dinner was healthy and flavoursome and mouth watering compliments to the chefs everyday. The staff were warming and friendly and the security was polite and helpful.

At times it could get a bit noisy, and some of the facilities seemed a bit small—for example, the main restaurant required reservations at dinner time and the casual restaurant and bar could fill up easily. The beach area is also on the smaller side.

Very beautiful property well situated in the heart of Nungwi beach. There are a number of other hotels, restaurants, and activities near by. The pool and beach area are great for relaxing, the rooftop bar provides great views of the beach, and the breakfast was delicious. The spa was also very nice and well priced.

The beds werent so comfy and they didnt have shataffs (if you know you know). And the hotel is small so it can get crowded real fast.

Location is spot on, in fact, this might be the best situated hotel around and you can see and hear the sea almost from everywhere, specially from the pool. The stay was cozy and we liked the artistic touches and yoga. Very cool place and staff.
