Amazing location and great stuff. Mounir is always helpfull to whatever you need. Very clean room and all the stuff is always smilling and ready to make your stay comfortable. Highly recommended for every traveller.

I like the accomodation, the position (close to the beach), the staff. The boss is very kind and available. The girls work here are very nice and friendly. I'm very satisfied and I would recommend it to all travellers come to Nungwi 🙏❤️

This is a fairly new starting, with new staff. Aiming to be a top accommodation, I believe not one egg or one extra cup of coffee should limit your goal. More training for the staff, make sure you know everyone’s booking requests, the number of people were paid. You should prove you’re wrong not me that I am right.

The large room is finely decorated in traditional style, the view of the Maasai huts are just a bonus for your morning chill. The staff goes extra miles to help you.

Zanzigo is truly an oasis and only thing that was worth for us in of the crazy and loud Nungwi. Mounir, the manager was fantastic, he and the owner Ibrahim went above and beyond to respond to any need we might have - helping with simcard, helping with buying fruits, arranging tours for a good price etc. In a few days we stayed there they became more like friends, than just random business owners. The breakfast was good and all the girls were extremely sweet. The King room interior as well as the garden was fantastic. We also loved the location. We didn't like Nungwi or Kendwa beaches because they were so busy. And also they are quite far from Zanzigo. But if you go to the other side, the east side of the tip, which is very close to Zanzigo, you are in for a paradise! See pictures - beautiful coral beaches (wear reef shoes), fantastic blue water, zero people (we left our stuff unattended and went for a swim). If you keep walking down on the beach, you will find beachfront Sazani Tidal lounge which had wonderful food&snacks for good prices, great music, and was perfect to leave our things in while swimming. We spent the whole day there. All in all, we absolutely loved Zanzigo. And would suggest it anyone. And we will come back for sure!

Super lovely Stay in Nungwi, each room is a small bungalow house all of them in a big green patio, very nice atmosphere where you feel like home The rooms are simple (what we loved!) and spacious. The place has only been opened recently and the team is super cute and lovely, making all your wishes come true. Very nice breakfast, that was brought to us to our room's terrace. The owner Mounir makes personally sure that all guests are happy and we had an amazing stay here - very much recommended. It's not directly at the beach, but we knew that and it's actually only a 10mins walk.

Power went down several times, but this is understandable due to the price point of the accommodation. Other suggestions for improvements I've given separately to the manager who welcomed the feedback.

Location + Price point + The huts were clean and eco friendly with modern cons like AC, modern lighting, showers. I liked the hospitality of host Mounir and the staff who were exceptionally thoughtful and anticipated your needs. No request was too small. I really appreciated the welcome I received. In house bbq was hosted with drinks which was a lovely touch. Also less hawkers on this side of the beach which let me enjoy the beach better.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

The owner Mounir is a fabulous host. Super friendly and helpful. All the other staff are also great. They serve a great breakfast and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable overlooking the garden. The hotel is close to the beach, 5 mins walk and opposite the Acquarium/Zoo. Mounir will help you to organize any transport or tours you're interested in. Definitely a great place to stay!

Lovely hospitality! Everyone goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and special. It’s newly opened and the team actions quickly on feedback. They work mostly with locals for good value tours and drivers. Short walk to the main street and main Nungwi Beach. They had laundry service as well as fans to help with the heat. I stayed for 5 nights and so glad I chanced upon this gem. Thank you Zanzigo!

Mounir is a great guy. He treated me like a family member, made sure I’ve got everything in place and even used his connections to get me discounts on trips and restaurants. The room was quite comfortable with an elegant design. I got upgraded to a room with AC at no additional cost. The hotel is in proximity to the beach and other facilities.

Only a few teething problems with wi-fi and water, that were immediately fixed by Mounir and his contractors to ensure Zanzigo is 100% ready for the upcoming high season.

I loved being at Zanzigo: everything from reception to breakfast, from the comfortable rooms to Mounir and his team's assistance in any of my needs was wonderful. Despite being recently open and having the normal teething problems in any new establishment, Mounir was always quick and helpful in resolving any possible issue and making sure all guests were comfortable and had everything they needed. The staff is friendly, kind and supportive. Breakfast is amazing, with loads of fruit, homemade chapati, jams, nutella, even fries. The beach is very close.

All was good!

The best stay we had in Nungwi! The property is easy to find and close to the beach. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and with great decor. The shower has good water pressure and hot water. The wifi is reliable and fast, and the breakfast was plentiful. Most importantly, the staff was absolutely amazing! Muhammad was super attentive since we set foot on the property. He answered all of our questions, accommodated us for a late breakfast, helped us find a laundromat, and took care of our laundry; no matter what we needed, he was always ready to help. We had a great stay and would definitely come back. Thank you Zanzigo!!!

Watch out for review fraud on Booking.com (at least). I have booked this place after reading excellent reviews. The place did not match those reviews, but it was ok. One day after I've checked out, the manager Mounir (see photo) texted me asking for a 10/10 review. When I said I wouldn't do that because it wouldn't be honest about the place, and commented on his inappropriate behaviour (such as texting me good night and calling me beautiful princess), he went on to Booking.com and cancelled my stay, so that I cannot submit a review. This is how he's keeping a perfect score for a rather uncomfortable property... by removing all bookings of guests who won't play along. The place isn't even safe. Twice I got locked in my room (the door swelled due to humidity) and had to call Mounir. Had this happened when he was not at the property- I don't know how I could have made it out, as the property is not permanently manned and there is no phone in the rooms.

The property is moderately priced but also lacks a lot in comfort.
