- in my room were 9 bunk beds (when it should have been 5), so not enough space as a result - old windows with no view + with tape - during the day it's forbidden to be indoors (or you can stay with fees), but if there is no boss, then you may not be kicked out - forbidden to use sleeping bag - if need to charge a laptop from an electric power strip in the common room, then all the lights in the room will flash

The location that the booking.com app showed on the map was 1.5 kms away from the actual location of the hostel.

Wrong location. Actually located at 48.29308, 25.936456. only one toilet

The staff were very friendly. I ate dinner with them and discussed life. Really made my stay great! Hostel is very close to the main square. Ideal location! Good WiFi all around the hostel and good kitchen.

Previously, the hostel was called TIU Chernivtsi Backpackers, changing the name, focusing on the location to attract more guests, the quality didn't change for the better. In real, finding a hostel wasn't easy -it is essentially a rented apartment on the second floor of an old building, in which the renter Marcus is trying to organize a hostel for a large number of people, saving on theirs comfort and was doing renovations right at the time when there were guests in the hostel, so it was quite noisy, when customers could relax in the room and discussed with administrator Lilia how to save on towels for the guests! Accordingly, the hallway is quite small - not designed for a large number of people, respectively, there is one bathroom with one shower and toilet. One of the rooms, designed for 4 people, has no full windows, as it was engineered as a storage room and is not intended for human habitation. The large room has 10 bunk beds, with the bottom bed being quite low, making it look like they were intended for a children garden. The bed linen is not white, but multi-colored. The crossbar in the locker was askew. Administrator Lilia showed the room, but since there was no bank terminal available for payment, she suggested that I change money in the city and pay later. But after my return Marcus began to say that I needed to move out and I was forced to leave with heavy bags, while I was very tired and didn't even have time to rest from the trip.Apparently, he doesn't want to pay a commission to the booking.com where my booking was made, based on this he doesn't want to understandand that it was thanks to this site that guests could find out about the hostel, which is located inside a residential building!

There is a clothes dryer near the fireplace, but bed linen is dried by hanging it on the bed.

This is the best hostel in Chernivtsi! It is clean and affordable. The management is friendly and accommodating, as well. I would highly recommend this hostel!

Nothing. Claustrophobic.

The mattress was too thin. I wouldn't even call it a mattress. It was a miserable piece of foam. My sleep was terrible on the hard wooden bunkbed frame. 🪵 I booked for three nights but after the first night I left ahead of schedule. The people working there argued with me when I brought up the issue. "It's a budget hostel. Maybe you need to go to a hotel." No. I'll go to another hostel up the street with normal sleeping accommodation. Ultimately you pay to sleep. The woman working there was complaining about me in Russian with other guests outside the dorm room. Horrible rude atmosphere. Also they have a Soviet flag in the dorm which is insulting & illegal in Ukraine. It's a banned symbol.

When you book the "budget double room" you need to go through the 4 dorm room. I'm not happy to say this, but im worried there are bed bugs. Someone already mentioned this problem and I need to agree with that. But after the stay we got the bed bugs bites (and we are sure it wasnt mosquitos)

The location was great, the price was also great.
