Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing. All fine. There is a war on. In these circumstances the hotel is doing well to survive.
Kishi Hotel location is great. Very close to a Metro station, and walking distance to main areas of the city centre. Rooms are comfortable and secure.

United StatesRoom 33 had some mildew on the tiles of the shower. An easy fix. Room 32 shower door can easily fall off the railing. The small refrigerators in the rooms are probably a waste of electricity as they do not get cold enough to keep anything inside that needs to remain cold. The WiFi went out constantly and was moderate quality. Limited hot water! Some issues with water pressure as well.
Multiple secure entrances, warm rooms, comfortable bed. The receptionists were all helpful. I would recommend this hotel to others if they were staying in Kharkiv for a few days.

GermanyThe bathroom was cleaned only after direct feedback to the staff. Door closes from 24:00 to 6:00, so if you are coming in the night you have to call the receptionist

NetherlandsFor a single traveler, that wants to get a central location for a fair price kishi is the place to be. For a family or the more demanding traveler it might be a bit to basic. The breakfast for example was very basic, but on the other side they only charged €1,25 for it. With is very fair. I’m sure a couple could also have a good nights stay, but once more for a family or the demanding traveler choose something else.
I loved the price quality ratio. The hotel was clean, well kept and very quite. And right in the city center. The receptionists spoke decent English and where very professional. One of them had to make my breakfast at 5.45 AM because I had to leave the city early in the morning and she did it with a smile. Normally these professional receptionists only work at 3,4 or 5 star hotels.

United KingdomWith the exception of a temporamental shower (which changed temperature & power while in use) and a fridge that didn't really get cold at all, it's a really good place. WiFi was free, but kept dropping out and not that fast (10mbps down, 3mbps up).
Kizhi hotel is a great option for budget travellers. It's sited in a quiet courtyard and central location (2 mins to metro station) which enhances the stay. The fabulous gorky park is a 20 minute walk away or 5 minute bus ride, the main station is 20 mins on the metro, with 1 change. Loads of shops and restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

Very kind and professional staff. Its only 10- room hotel but very clean and chill. I was on training and required calm place during 3 days. All my needs were met with minimum effort, even when I requested to stay longer and did not pre book that as it was not planned. It is very calm and quiet place, no noise, spacious rooms and air-conditioned space.

NetherlandsHotel Kizhi has a permanent and bot resolvable issue with noisy pipes. I could not sleep at night, as every time some used the toilet, sink or shower, the prolonged noise came out and disturbed as multiple occasions during the day and night. The staff could not arrange a plumber to fix the issue, while i was staying in the hotel. When i proposed to partially compensate the uncomfortable stay they refused, saying i should have leave the hotel if i don’t like it. But even the first night was bot compensated. The hotel staff/manager instead of apologies tried to manipulate the issue saying it will be fixed today, but without agreeing for me to check. I had to warn other customers to keep track of the issue. Booking.com should pay a close attention to this property so that people can have a good rest without a terribly loud boise from the pipes.
Kizhi is the hotel. Rooms are with private bathroom.

United KingdomNo water on the first night then when it came back on the room smelled bad for the next day. They did tell me the water was off when I checked in but it was 33 degrees and I didn't want to trek around looking for a new hotel! I accidentally ruined a towel and they charged me which felt a bit mean given there had been no discount for a room without water (the charge was also a bit on the high side for a cheap towel). Also my room was three floors up and there's no lift
Overall it was fine for the money, I was just unlucky with the water. Great central location and good basic rooms.
