How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Cash payments only. No bar or cafe. No fridge/kettle in the room. Not as much 220v outlets as could be needed.
Nice staff, clean rooms, amazing location (1 minute away from the city center), 3* basics are present.

The room was a little dark for my liking and would have liked a writing table and chair in the room.
Excellent location, very friendly staff, and nice clean and large sized room. Good value for money.

My room was on the ground floor, close to the stairs. In the night I heard noisy guests. But that was just once.
The location is very convinient, right round the corner there are food store and cofeeshop. The room was clean and convinient. The hairdrier in the bathroom was a good surprise.

Everything were great. Caring customer service: they came up to let us know that city will be without water and give us some tips to prepare. great location 2 steps from central street, but very quite. and nice, big room.

Matress is too soft (as for me). My room was without the window. It was the cheapest room, but in its description nothing was written about it. Otherwise I'd never took it. No fridge.

The hotel's location is fantastic, in the city center but on a tranquil street. Realy close to the main city's attractions, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Available private parking on the hotel's territory. Also, the bed was very comfy; I slept well at night and recovered from the long road. I will definitely book this hotel again for my next trip to Chernivtsi.

Reorganise furniture in the room. It was not comfortable to watch TV, it is on the wall and there is no furniture on front of it. Conditioner should work properly and windows should have a good noise isolation.
My request for room on the second flor was satisfied (hotel has 2 flors). Almost all that I need were in the room (except slippers).

The room, though it was large, had only one window. The window was not to the outside, but to the hallway. So there was very little natural light, and I needed to block it with the curtain to avoid being seen by people who were walking through the corridor.
Nice staff, free parking in the courtyard, excellent location (close to the main square.

This is a very nice centrally located hotel. The prices are moderate for this location, the furniture is new and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Feather pillows (the were changed to synthetic on demand though), no fridge, Russian speaking receptionist, no matter the fact that we spoke Ukrainian

The room was rather basic and the hotel is definitely not four star, the bathroom is also a bit squeezed. The reception speaks very little English, making it hard to communicate if you do not speak Russian
The place is centrally located and the 24 hour reception really helped when you arrive late. The air conditioning in room was a lifesaver as the weather has been quite hot this summer. The place was cleaned well

It would be useful to have in the room a hairdryer, an electric kettle with a few tea or coffee cups and hypoallergenic pillows.

It would be better if there was elevator because I have a lot of luggage.
