Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineI was surprised that the Booking description listed that the room has a refrigerator, but the hotel has a policy that guests cannot use the fridge, that it is only for storing the mini bar items from the hotel. There is a note in the room that guests can give food to the receptionist to keep in their fridge at reception, but this is inconvenient. I stopped at the supermarket at the train station before arriving at the hotel and bought food for breakfast and cold drinks (Pepsi, juice, etc.) specifically because the Booking listing said that there was a mini fridge in the room; I wouldn't have done this if I had known I wasn't allowed to use this mini fridge. The Booking listing is deceptive and shouldn't list this; however, it would be even better for the hotel to not have this strange policy of not allowing guests to use the mini fridge in their own room!
This was my second time staying at this hotel, and it is a good choice for in Dnipro—close to the center and convenient without it being loud or too busy. The hotel is quiet with cozy rooms; not fancy, but enough for a short stay.

ItalyThe hotel is on several levels without elevator, so not accessible. Quite warm but at this time of the year not enough of an issue to require air conditioning. Next time would ask for a bigger room.
Very conveniently located structure, room was quite small (fully meeting the description) but well designed so there was all that was necessary, good sized bathroom with excellent shower. Impressive double glazing of the windows so the room is quiet despite the traffic outside. Personnel very friendly and helpful. I arrived way before check in time but had to wait only a few minutes before my room was ready.

EstoniaYou can hear a bit too well the other guests footsteps on the ceiling. The high cost for laundry was a bit of a suprise, especially in comparison with a room rate. Also, the waiting time to get a receipt - 15 minutes - was hard to explain.
The hotel is located in a rather quiet neighborhood,. The rooms are spacious and cosy with a small taste of 19-th century. One rathe feels like at home.

SerbiaThere are a lot of stairs so bags could be an issue. No lobby where you could sit and wait for someone.

CyprusStandard room is too small, it's better to book bigger room. No breakfast is offered. No elevator, i.e. you need to bring your luggage in the hands through the stairs.
Nice small hotel near the city center with really friendly staff. There are many cafes in the walk distance to it, so you always have options where to it. The building has some interesting history which you can find on the walls.

United Arab EmiratesThere isn't much to dislike. You get what you pay for. It'd be nice to have a remotely controlled automatic barrier rather than removable pole with padlock for the parking in the yard. I'd add a lot to convenience of guests.
It is as good as usual. I discovered this hotel four years ago and since then I've been staying here every time I visit Dnipro. I don't think I'm going to book another one for my next trip.

UkraineEverything was great for me, but note that climbing stairs is required, in case you have mobility issues.
The location is excellent, very close to the center but sort of "around the block" so that it was quiet on a not-busy street. The room was very comfortable, and the staff very friendly and helpful. I certainly will stay here again.
