Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe mattress would definitely benefit from a topper as the springs made it not too comfortable. WiFi is passable for checking email, can't be relied upon for anything of substance.
Breakfast was good. Location is good enough, just outside the city.

UkraineThe breakfast starts at 10 am, but we checked out earlier and didn’t get any breakfast. There was no lights outside, so it is scary to get out to smoke (we was on the first floor) The receptionist was sometimes out of the desk and there was no phone in the room, so we had to go look for other staff to call the receptionist.

IrelandChecking in was the worst experience. At reception nobody speaks English. This wont go down to well when you have torists traveling from Europe trying to get any sense out of the receptionist. I stayed 2 weeks and then I decided to stay a few more days. Checking out and checking back in was even worse. Plus they wanted me to cancel my booking twice with booking com and give them cash. Fortunately I had the help from a very friendly barman there who should really be running the whole place. He looked after me with everything I needed. The WiFi doesn't work and you are in the middle of knowhere. Luckily there is a great supermarket across the street
Nehruz, the barman helped me with all the communication problems I had during the stay if it weren't for him I would have left at the check in and looked for another hotel.

UkraineThe chekin process took forever. The rooms were not thoroughly cleaned (we could see spider webs, mold in the bathroom, dust bunnies under the furniture). The staff was not welcoming, didn't smile. For breakfast, we had to run around the property to find the servers and order something, and even then over half of the breakfast menu was not available. I asked for and omelet with tomatoes, I was told they don't have it that morning, and imagine my surprise, when my husband gets his breakfast: sunny side-up eggs with fresh tomatoes!!!
The food! It was amazing, especially khachapuri and lamb!! Some of the staff, spoke English. The server, who was serving our table during the birthday celebration had gentle manners and was helpful.

UkraineUnfortunately administrators treated us and some other guests (that we talked to)like we owe something to them! we stayed there twice,because of it’s location, and both times both administrators looked so unhappy talking to us at the check in -like they were doing a favor! The younger lady (admin) was the worst one to talk to - rude, completely unprofessional manners, made us wait for a quite a long time and then tried to make us pay more for the room that we have already booked online and it had different price, but she couldn’t figure that out and was blaming on us. All they care about is money- be prepared that if they can, they probably will charge you for breathing air. The villa that we have rented can fit up to 6 people (and price for the rent would be the same whether it’s 2 or 6 people staying) we were family of 4 and my friend with her little daughter was coming to stay just for few hours with us - that administrator have insisted to charge her for using pool facilities and tried even to charge a kid who is 5 (by their policy kids younger than 6 are for free). The breakfast that is included is a different story- they start to serve it only from 10am and if you get the brunette waitress, better don’t try to ask her when you get your food, even if you have waited for an hour- you won’t like the answer! Breakfast includes a meal and a drink, we adults had coffee but my child wanted a juice or water instead and right away that same waitress said that is for additional charge… I can go on and on… But it won’t be fair if don’t mention that (blonde) waitress is completely the opposite- she was always nice and smiling even when she was extremely busy- she would just explain politely and we would understandably wait! The cleaning ladies are very nice to all guests and do their job well. Guys at the bar were as well friendly.
