Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CambodiaNot impressed with breakfasts. Also, the time for breakfast was a bit late, but again there is a war on, so the very fact that it is still served is a plus rather than the minus. Also had some minor issues with the shower, but I guess it was more my fault.
The location is quite good since it is a bit further from the downtown. The river view was amazing, food was good as well. The staff was helpful and nice. It felt very safe and peaceful (though there is a war going on).

UkraineThe internet and breakfast were the only real disappointments. The wifi was weak in both my room (#2) and my friends' room at the other side of the hall (#5), so it wasn't strong enough to stream a movie to watch nor to have a video call for work (we needed to use our car's internet for these). The breakfasts weren't bad, but they were very basic—very small and simple, like a homemade breakfast for a child (and salt and pepper weren't available for the eggs/omelet). Also, it was misleading to be given the menu that says that breakfast is 8-10am daily but then discover late the night before that it wouldn't be until 9am; we suddenly needed to decide if we needed to drive to a supermarket at 1am to get something for the morning or to skip breakfast entirely. Thankfully, they made an exception for us and prepared breakfast at 8am, which is very accommodating, but they certainly should fix their outdated materials if they make a schedule change like this.
This is a new, modern, and stylish hotel right on the river with a nice park-like space next to it, a 15-minute walk to the city center. Other reviews show that it is very popular for weddings or other events, but my friends and I stayed here as regular guests. The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, but they also seemed a little inexperienced, so be patient with their mild unprofessionalism/confusion. Although the room is smaller than what I usually get at a hotel, it was cozy and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. We ate several times at the restaurant and were very pleased with dinner and dessert.
