Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceBreakfast could be with more options for a 4 star hotel. Indoors pool and UV "sauna" area is understood as a recreation area, where people pay and come to relax and enjoy calmness using hydromassage and rest facilities. We were surprised when we could hear shouting and screaming children, with parents allowing them to do so and even allow them to pee in the pool.
The hotel is in a perfect location, calm and quiet. Very nice indoors pool and UV "sauna".

LuxembourgI don't know why you have to pay when you arrive. I know it's a Ukrainian thing but if you're holding yourself out to attract this type of clientele, you can't ask clients to pay before they have actually had the service. If you're coming from Europe, this is strange.
Reception service and the guys at the bar outside were great fun and the food at the bar definitely exceeded my expectations of bar food. All speaking good English and I will definitely come back to this hotel. Beach is a small walk but private and relaxing.

Italy1. The hotel tried to charge me not with the Booking.com price but with the price shown on their website. I have written a complaint to Booking.com but nobody has bothered to reply yet. When the hotel realised they would need to charge me with the price shown on Booking.com, they asked me to pay some extras, like food and bed for the kid despite our reservation clearly included two adults and one child. After a back and forth of emails and calls before the day of arrival, they confirmed the price was the one shown on Booking.com. However, after a couple of hours after checking in, they asked me to pay additional money for the kid's food. After an unpleasant quarrel, they backtracked but still insisted they were doing us a favour by not charging us with their price but with the one shown on Booking.com. After a couple of days of checking in, the price of our reservation was lowered but we were not returned the difference. I complained with Booking.com but not reply yet. 2. The hotel tries to save money on anything and everything. Food is generally tasty, but despite being offered as a buffet, food can't be touched because of Covid rules. It's not clear why there is such a rule. It's not a government rule and also people are all squeezed close to the buffet. My impression was that by being forced to ask waiters, guests eat less food. 3. There is a shuttle to the beach but the timetable is very limited, once an hour to the beach and once an hour from the beach. The trip takes five minutes. It's not understandable why trips can't be more frequent taking into account the driver sits there waiting and doing nothing for thirty minutes. 4. The Internet is very poor and works with sorts of vouchers. Again, I think the hotel doesn't want to invest more money on the Internet service. 5. The staff aren't very friendly with a few exceptions. 6. Two adults and one kid, full board, it's about 270 euros a day.
1. There is a lot of security personnel and the beach can be accessed only with a pass. 2. Food is tasty and there is a good variety of food. 3. The hotel is clean and the room are tidied up properly every day. 4. Kids can be left in the kids' room with a nanny. 5. There are nice swimming pools in the hotel. 6. The hotel is ideal for families.
