Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing, all fantastic
Amazing stay with the most wonderful warm welcoming hosts, very clean and comfortable rooms in a peaceful nature setting. Elephants, hippos, antelopes and warthogs all wandering just meters from my room, Lodge very conveniently located close to all QENP attractions and hosts very helpful in arranging activities, culinary team produced amazing huge meals and so kind and gracious with guests. Cannot recommend this lodge highly enough, look no further for your home in QENP, you will arrive as a guest and leave as family

FranceExceptional experience at songbird safari lodge. The location, where elephants walk close and even through (!) and where other animals can be seen in the garden at night, is totally awesome. Everybody there (Goritta, Anington, Mbabazi) is so helpful for any service, wishing to make all at the best. The accommodation and the meals (with great ceremonial from Mbabazi) are wonderful. More than highly recommended !

Friendly management and staff. Elephants and other animals seeing around. They organized a B-day party for my wife. The chef, Mr. Muhindo Davis was amazing. His meal creations and presentation of food were perfect. Mr. Mbabazi who served the food made sure, that we felt like royals every day.

ItalyBed was too short for me and it was quite cold at night and a blanket would have been a good addition
Staff super friendly and all meals included. Food was good and they were making every effort to make guests comfortable. Bring cash as the card payment fee is excessive!

Czech RepublicThe staff was the best we've had in our month in Uganda! The place is even lovelier than in the pictures and the location is amazing for any activities in the area of Queen Elisabeth. As a bonus, the elephants really pass directly through the campsite every night.

BelgiumA peaceful and warm atmosphere, beautiful lodges, the most friendly and helpful staff and management, a very good cook with a nice sense of humor. This place is amazing: wildlife coming through the camp, beautiful nature as far as you can see and close to the park entrance.

United KingdomActually nothing, The bungalows are a little small, so you will need to be efficient when you unpack your things. Bt I didn't find that a problem. I loved it here.
I don't know anywhere else where you can get a private room with en-suite bathroom INCLUDING full board (three gourmet meals a day) for the price you will pay here. The location is a about 1 km south of Katunguru, very close to the Queen Elizbath National Park entrance. Hennington and his wife are exceptionally kind and gracious hosts, who really take care of you. As you relax in the restaurant, keep an eye out for elephants, warthogs, waterbucks and other wildlife regularly making their way through the grounds of the site. I stayed here because someone I met in a hostel in Kigali told me it was wonderful. And now I'm telling you -- this is where you want to stay.

BangladeshNothing to dislike, would definitely come again!
Amazing locally owned and perfectly situated establishment. What it lacks in luxury it more than makes up in authenticity, atmosphere and friendly staff. The tasty meals are local cuisine made with international appeal.

UgandaStaff has been incredibly welcoming, friendly and professional. We had a great stay. The food was delicious, the place was quite and clean. A fireplace was set for us after dinner and when we asked to pack lunch last minute, that was promptly catered for. The rooms are very nice and spacious- the pictures don't do them justice. Location is also great as just a few minutes ride from the park.

NetherlandsNothing, keep up the good work :-)
The hosts were extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. The huts have everything one would wish for: hot water, big bed, power plugs and space!! The fish and the pancakes we got, were the best we got on our 3 week trip in Uganda. Our biggest regret was only staying there for 1 night, this place is a paradise!

NetherlandsThis lodge just opened and the owner is trying to make everything spotless. He is still improving the facilities.
The location is ideal between multiple gates in the national park. The cottages are really nice and you feel very private overlooking at wildlife ( elephants, impalas , water buck). Hygiene is very well maintained en everything is clean. If it comes to the food and service it’s incredible.
