Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyI really enjoyed my stay at Plastic Bottles House. David the owner is such a nice person! My flight was at night time and David organized my transportation there. He also went birding with me which was amazing! If you like birds, this place is great, since there are many different ones in the garden of Plastic Bottles House.

BelgiumProbably the biggest downside is the location. Mostly cause it's at the end of the runway of Entebbe airport. When planes fly over it's loud. It's in a small village witch is ok by itself but if you want to do something it will take some time to get to Entebbe. But you know that beforehand.
David is a really nice host. Welcoming, relax, good nature... Really like how he is building up the place piece by piece. His two pet goose are really funny. Everything you need is there, it's clean, it's calm.

SpainIs something to keep in mind that depending on the time you have to flight, it could take longer to arrive to the airport. So ask before booking.
The costumer service and the flexibility. Super quiet and calm, and at the same time close to the city.

ItalyEverything Oscar Kilo, just a softer pillow would be great!
This place is a small gem just outside from the busy town of Entebbe! Cozy atmosphere, nice houses built with a brilliant technique using plastic bottles, lovely garden and, above all, adorable host! It's absolutely recommended, just keep in mind that you have to cross a branch of the lake to reach the place (btw it's super easy, small and fast wooden boats or slower ferry are available!). ..and there is a road as well, in case is not doable with the boat!

PolandI absolutely loved the cozy vibe David created by building two amazing, quaint bottle houses surrounded by a lush garden - home to two lovely geese, Becky and Joe:) David is a friendly, resourceful and reliable host who is on top of things and more! He picked me up from the airport at 6.00 a.m. Moreover, he took me on a tour of Uganda and showed me the beauty of the country including wildlife and landscapes, arranging accomodation and gorilla plus chimp permits on the way! Thank you, David. You are incredible!

CanadaJust love this little garden oasis! It’s quiet and clean, surrounded by trees and flowers and two friendly geese. But the best part is David, the host. He is wonderful and will make you feel like an honoured guest. He can help arrange all sorts of trips (went to Mabamba swamp to see shoebills!) and he even took us himself on a budget adventure to Murchison Falls National Park. It was an amazing time made even better by his knowledge, kindness and enthusiasm. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone seeking reasonably priced accommodation in Entebbe.

SwitzerlandIt‘s not in the city centre of Entebbe, so you need to take first a taxi and then a ferry. But I know that in advance, so it wasn‘t a problem at all. And on the way to him you experience already the real life of Uganda and not only the „perfect glance you would see in a resort“.
David is an exceptional host with an amazing sense for the environment in Uganda. He used plastic bottles which laid around in the villages to recycle them and build the small tiny cottages which is all you need. It‘s more like a homestay with a very helpful friend who looks also for your dinner and breakfast. Beside of that David helps you with all the questions for your travellings in Uganda (where are the taxis, how to organize your transport somewhere else and he has s lot off knowledge of all the nationalparks). With a stay at Davids place you make the right choice and help the visions of a young man with good thoughts about our environment🙏🏻

Everything. It was a fantastic time that we had together with our host David. David is a super friendly, interested, humble man who is a true traveveller by himself and helped us a lot with organizing our further trip and the activities during our two-night stay. We did a boat tour in the swamps to see the Shoebill and hiked in Mpigi forest and talked a lot with David. Highly recommended to everyone and always happy to come back again.

SloveniaAmazing!!! I was trying to book my stay last minute, but David told me they are full. So I booked for later and OMG, I am sooo happy I did. In my opinion, this place is everything you need and goes with your morals. So if you want to put your money where your morals are, you are in the right place. David built two little lodges and fence with plastic bottles he collected from the region. He is such a nice person and he really cares about environment. Uganda is amazing country so it is important that people like David spread knowledge about recycling. After three weeks backpacking Uganda and almost a week in capital this was awesome. It is away from big cities, so if you just go for a walk you can find little cute village with really nice people and amazing nature. It is close to Mabamba swamp where you can go bird watching, sailing through tiny canals and enjoy beautiful sunsets. Still, if you want a lively night there is Entebbe less than 30 minutes away. I was really happy there and looking forward to be back someday 😍 David, wish you all the best and crossing fingers for you to work on every plan you have. Thank you ❤️
