How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

2 small minuaws that Laziz can wasily sort out Pillows are too thick for me No black out curtains
Laziz is a super host, takes care of his clients very well. He picked me up and dropped back to the railway station. It was a very helpful service. Thank to him. He gives great information about the city. His guesthouse is on a lovely yard, around 800-900 m from the old city. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent

The host was very friendly and attentive. He offered us to pick us up from the station and brought us back for a very reasonable price. At the arrival to the guesthouse he treated us with green tea and sweets. We were impressed by his friendliness and kindness. The next day he drove us around in Bukhara to the market and different sightseeing points we wanted to see. The price for this service was very reasonable too. Thanks for your loving hospitality!

No complains at all!
Lovely family running this nice guesthouse with spacious rooms around a big courtyard with a shady mulberry tree and flowers. Possible to sit / have breakfast outside. Laziz is a hospitable and friendly guy who took care of us very well. The breakfasts are copious: sausages, eggs, fruits, yoghurt, sweets, coffee or tea. Possible to do outskirts trip with Laziz.

Everything was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was yummy and came with fruit which was a nice touch. It’s tucked away but close walking distance around 10 minutes to the old town. We extended our stay and stayed for 3 nights, would recommend!

It's not really a downside but something to be improved. The shared kitchen is not really functional. There's no pots or pans to cook, no fridges, and no drinking water( water available anytime when we asked the owner) It looks pretty new so that's maybe why it's not furnished yet. But it'll be great to be able to use the kitchen more frequently.
Very peaceful place, with spacious rooms,.fonctionning Aircon and good wifi. We really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it

The location is perfect. All attractions can be reached on foot within maximum 15 minutes. The guesthouse owner is very kind and always try his best to help us. We also used their taxi service from/to railways station (Bukhara 1). We really had a great time here (3 nights).

Not a major fault but a recommendation - the blinds on the door to the room and window really need replacing as they were broken and it did lack privacy for changing etc.
The family were very nice. The owner picked us up from the train station and took us back at the end of our stay for a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The room was a very good size and therre was always hot water available. Breakfast was good and varied. It was an easy walk to the historic centre. Overall we enjoyed our stay as we felt the owner did his best to please the guests.

Nothing! Some communal seating in the courtyard would be excellent!
Really nice spacious room, comfortable beds with lovely clean sheets. Good sized bathroom with a hot and powerful shower. Good breakfast and friendly hosts. Excellent location. This was the best guesthouse we’ve stayed in in Uzbekistan!
