Hot water was erratic

We have loved our stay in this family guest-house just outside the old city. Our hosts were super-friendly, the room was comfortable, clean, good beds, air conditioning and private bathroom. Breakfast was very good and copious and set us up for the day. Also excellent value for money

Maybe bit difficult for old people to get to the upstairs and taking heavy luggage to upstairs. Personally this wasn't an issue for us.

Lovely, family home, very clean with traditional breakfast. Location just outside the old town so very convenient. Some difficulty finding it, but taxi driver asked a few people.

Nothing big but I found some misunderstanding could arise when you rely on translation apps to communicate with each other.

The guesthouse is literally a stone's throw away from the eastern gate (Polvon Davorza) of Ichan Kala, which allows guests to make the most of their time in Khiva (which we did). Our room was beautifully decorated and because we were there during the off-peak season, we almost had the whole top floor of the building to ourselves (the host family lives on the ground floor). Apart from a beautiful breakfast, the guesthouse also offers home-cooked traditional dishes for other meals, if you request. After spending most of the day inside Ichan Kala, I found it very convenient to just eat dinner and watch the sunset over Ichan Khala from the dining area at our hotel. The view from our dining table was also to die for! In all, we enjoyed our 2-night stay at Guest House Art Postindoz.

The location is great, right outside the walls of the inner city. Easy to walk all around and see the sites. The room was comfortable, with a view of the mosque with minaret. Loads of hot water! I slept super well. The family was very welcoming and when we checked in early they provided us breakfast and when we checked out really really early, they gave us breakfast to go.

Not all rooms have air conditioner, not a problem in march, but if I'd come in may - better check.

Excellent location just outside east fortress gate. Nice nourishing breakfast, vegetarian BTW, that changed from day to day. Very friendly innkeeper.

Wonderful! Welcoming and attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. As a group, we had exclusive use of the upper floor and privacy was assured . A lovely and fresh breakfast was sprovided each morning. Nothing was too much trouble! Our wonderful host also arranged a taxi to the airport after our stay. Excellent location just a few minutes from the beautiful old city.

The food is delicious. We also paid for dinner and it was exceptional for the small extra price. Really nice family, and we would stay again. WiFi is very fast.

Maybe apart from having no view from rear rooms, if you find something to dislike, the problem most likely rests with you!

Cannot recommend this guest house enough. Warm welcome, excellent facilities, the management team could not be more helpful or kind and the location is perfect for access to the breathtaking walled city. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

There was nothing to dislike

This is the third time I have stayed here, which underlines this is a great place to stay right outside the city walls. The owners are lovely, friendly and really helpful. The rooms are great, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast food is varied and delicious. I plan to stay again next time.

Absolutely nothing to dislike!

Highly recommend. Located almost adjacent to walled city entrance on a small, quiet side street, so maybe a little difficult to locate. This is a smaller sized, very friendly, family run guest house. Ideal for groups like ours as we had sole occupancy and enjoyed breakfast and evening get togethers in the common area. If we are ever fortunate enough to be back in breathtaking Khiva, this is the place to stay. Thank you for having us!

Very friendly hosts and although their English is limited we didn't have any problems communicating.The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and we were able to have a tasty homemade dinner on the terrace one evening.

The family gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel very at home even helping us find our way to the station when we left. Great cooking - we had two evening meals there which were extremely tasty and excellent value for money. Location is wonderful - just by the east gate and close to historic sites but also insights into how local people live. Would highly recommend

I liked that it was just outside the city gates. My room had a little balcony which looked over the city. They clearly put a lot of care into the room. The family is very sweet. I arrived early on the train and didn’t have checkin until the afternoon but the room was available so they let me check in which was so nice.
