Lunch and dinner restaurants are a little slow in service, but noticed it was the same across the city for various restaurants. Only complaint was the AC in the room, it never cooled down enough. Not sure if it is an issue because it might turn on/off when you come in/out of the room.

Mr Jasur at the property made this trip for my family a memorable one. He was there throughout to make my family and kids feel comfortable. The property is a must visit, their goods is delicious and surroundings and property specs are luxury finish. If ever in Samarkand, this hotel is a must visit !

The Regency is a great address in Samarkand, and probably the best hotel we stayed in during our time in UZ. The rooms were very modern and luxurious, and the staff were very friendly. Even when we ran into trouble the night after our checkout (the train did not arrive), Jasur from Guest Relations organized a driver to take us to Tashkent instead. This is above and beyond regular hotel service and was much appreciated.

Too expensive for what it is, location is only good if attending a conference. Very far from the historic sights. Hotel felt a bit soulless.

Nothing was to dislike.

Staff was A+++, location excellent inside the eternal city compound, 24/7 bar and room service. Concierge Akhmal and the staff at the breakfast buffet would go above and beyond to make your stay helpful. I have not seen or observed this level of effort to please the guest, probably ever. For me this set the gold standard of service and spoiled me to a point where other 5 stars will leave me unsatisfied. I immediately stayed at the hyatt in tashkent after this, and found the service no where close to samarkand regency amir temur. All in all, I stayed at 4 different 5 stars on this trip and this was by far the best, both in service, Room comfort, tech etc. They took me on a buggy tour through etneral city which was great. They arranged for my daily tour in samarkand as well as car drop off to tashkent. All effortless. Wifi worked great in my room

The only thing that can be questioned is the quality of mattresses.

The hotel is really great. From the beginning to the details. Breakfast is really rich. Area around is still developing so it's gonna be even better. The best restaurant in Samarkand is this hotel.

Everything was great, but little things like batteries on the weight scales and remote on the bathroom could make experience even better Also, when booking for two would be nice to get two sets of complimentary robes, slippers etc. Otherwise, perfect

The view from the 17th Floor was just amazing 😍 would be great to wash the windows though since it doesn't do justice for the amazing view. Breakfast was awesome 💯 nice friendly staff Massive TV screen

Nothing weee ready in the room, no toothpaste, no second towel, no gels, no shampoo. generally nothing ready, unless I called many times and asked reception to help me with it.

We are very surprised about the comments on Booking. We felt like we were in a completely different hotel. Most of the staff was very young and inexperienced. Lots of mistakes were made during orders in the restaurants, and at check-in. Luckily we spoke Russian because most of the staff don't speak English. The food in the different restaurants was bellow the average for our trip to Uzbekistan (we even got frozen bread that was not unfrozen in the center). We stayed three nights and were planning to stay one more night a few days later but we decided to go to the other five-star hotel of the Silk Road complexes and got a much better experience.
