Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyKettle and hair dryer had UK style 3 pin plugs with adapters - the kettle didn't work and it took a couple of visits by the staff to work out that the problem was with the adapter. No bedside table on one side of the double bed
Big room, v comfortable bed, big bathroom, good breakfast, responsive staff

Beautiful building with grand but not too opulent decor. Spacious and comfortable rooms with great amenities. Excellent breakfast in restaurant with live music. All staff were very helpful and friendly. They provided an upgrade when they saw a member of the party was unwell. Good location. Very good value!

CanadaThe air conditioner in our room was not working - if we hadn’t unpacked, we would have asked to switch rooms. As well, the beds were not soft - but this seems the standard in Uzbekistan, so cannot complain.
Warm attentive staff, massive clean gym and swimming pool with sauna, great breakfast with live musicians playing the right wake up music. Character in the grounds and design. The staff at the restaurant were also attentive - enjoyed the fish platter with bread (ask for spreadable cheese) and the grilled vegetables.

United KingdomI chose this hotel for the pool and spa facilities - the indoor pool was open but cold, we could only swim for 10 minutes or so at a time. The sauna was turned off and I didn't see much in the way of other spa facilities. I think it was expensive for the facilities on offer.
Loved the rooms and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone we came across was very polite and friendly and the atmosphere around the hotel was really nice.

RussiaBed is very firm (as everywhere in Uzbekistan) but this is a matter of taste. To go to the room I needed to pass through the hotel with numerous stairs which could be difficult with luggage (but you can always fetch help from reception). Would have been nice to eat made-to-order omelette if the order haven’t been misunderstood:). You can wait up to 10 min for cold(!) water
Staff was very welcoming; room was spacious and shower was huge with good water pressure. Also the hotel is big and you can find places to seat and talk with your friends and colleagues. 10 min from airport. If you leave early, ask for breakfast box at reception!

United StatesLocation is odd. It's not the center, it not the outskirts. Just random building in the middle of a huge city. Maybe that's just a tashkent thing.
The staff are super friendly and accommodating. There to meet every request. They have a sauna and a pool. You have to warn them 2hrs to turn it on. It takes a while to heat up. Same with massages. Needs to be scheduled ahead. The gym is quite nice. In house breakfast is great. Complete with musicians for some reason. We paid $90/night which is a fortune by local standards, but easily worth it for US.

United StatesThe food at the restaurant was overpriced and not tasty, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating at the restaurant apart from the breakfast. The breakfast was good.
We enjoyed our stay very much. I was traveling with my 2,5 year old son and my sister, and the hotel staff were very accomodating. Only minus is the rooms are not noise isolated and it can get quite noisy on the hallways. We had some pretty loud neighbours when we first checked in, to a point that I had to go out of my room and ask them to be quiet. It was almost midnight. Other than that all was well. Breakfast was amazing.
