Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere wasn't anything that I didn't like.
We had a wonderful stay at Sabina's place. The location is amazing, too, right by Chor Minor. Sabina is a wonderful hostess. She went above and beyond by giving us a warm welcome, telling historical significance of this hotel, recommending places for lunches and dinners. The breakfast was excellent! We were there around Navruz, so she ever served us sumalyak! The rooms are beautifully decorated in royal Bukhara style, so you'll really get to immerse yourself into the culture. If you're after an authentic experience with all comforts, then this place is for you.

Had a wonderful stay at this guest house. Sabina had been a great host! She gave full attention and made sure we got all the required items and facilities. She also helped us in arranging the car back to Samarkand. The guest house is beautifully decorated in traditional style, which gives you a unique Uzbek feeling along with the comfort of your home. Homemade breakfast was awesome! Definitely staying here on our next visit to Bukhara soon.

United KingdomOne tiny niggle was the lack of space for clothes in the room but counts for nothing when you consider the wonderful experience overall.
We loved the traditional style of the building and the decor. Having the home cooked breakfast in the courtyard was amazing. The location was good, down a quiet old street close to the new town and 5-10 minutes walk from the old town. This stay was the highlight of our trip to Uzbekistan due to the charming (English speaking) hostess, Sabina, and her family who made us feel as welcome as their own invited guests. There are six rooms where all the guests got to know each other in the courtyard over the endless pots of tea that Sabina prepared. Thank you Sabina and family for a fabulous time.

NetherlandsIt is all very lovely but I do think it is a bit overpriced for what you get in terms of comfort etc. (Toilet didn't flush very well, not always hot water but we managed). Like the guesthouse but the price could be better
Charming small guesthouse, it looks so beautiful and colorful. Sabine works so hard and can help you out with all your questions she speaks good English. Her lovely family also lives there so it was a bit like a homestay to us. Lovely breakfasts. Location is fine, small walk to old Town, when it is very hot and you have small kids like us just take a Yandex taxi for 5000 som.

United KingdomThe only piece of feedback I would have is that the pressure of the shower was very inconsistent. However, in a place which gets supremely hot, the economy of water might be a factor - I don't know.
This is a hidden gem, located in the backstreets of the east of Bukhara's city centre. Sabina and her family are a very inclusive, warm and loving family, who invited me to have some of their Iftar dinner, the fast-breaking dinner that takes place at the end of each day during the month of Ramadan. Their dumplings are amazing! The room itself was very easy to sleep in - the beds were just lovely, and the air conditioning was a blessing in such a hot city - it got up to 40 Celsius on occasion! Their breakfasts are traditional, varied, healthy and very nutritious, and they do super tea and coffee. Sabina and family are very personable, and the children are always curious about guests, and will welcome any conversation. They know a lot about the area, and it's always good to pick their brains! I am definitely coming back here if I come back to Bukhara again.

LithuaniaWe had a truly authentic experience in Kohinor. Not less inspiring than the stunning architecture of Bukhara‘s madrassas and mosques. The most amazing stay with a local family – very genuine and hospitable. Sabina, the hostess of the guest house, is always there, ready to help you with any information you may need. The generous breakfast in an open courtyard is like a piece of art for your eyes and enjoying for your stomach. Likewise, the rooms ornamented in traditional patterns like those in the Summer Palace of the last emir of Bukhara. And everything is done by the local craftsmen. The guest house is in an excelent location, a quiet and safe residential area, a 5 min walk to the old town. Thank you, Sabina, and thanks to your mother in law for inviting us to enjoy tea and have a pleasant chat before our departure late at night. We felt very welcomed guests in this wonderful place. We definitely recommend the stay at Kohinor.

PolandWhat we missed in the room/bathroom was somewhere to leave your clothes/cosmetics (shelf, small desk?). Also the bathroom had very weak water pressure and was a bit dated. The wifi has a weak signal (but so do all the places we've stayed at in Uzbekistan..)
Koh-i-noor is a tiny family-run hotel in a beautiful historic building. We enjoyed the breakfast prepared by the host, the hotel is a 10-minute walk to the very centre of Buhara in a quiet neighbourhood. The family 4-person room was spacious and nicely decorated.
