Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I would like to say thank you for all the staff in Komil hotel. There were so helpful and cool. The restaurant area has unique historical design. I found in the celling Arabic alphabet with number 1322 H which means in H Hijri Callender that's celling age 122 years. I loved my room in the rooftop. The location is good around 300 meters to the entrance of old city. The breakfast has variety choices. Thanks Komil

Absolutely fell in love with this hotel from the moment we walked in. From the decorations to mosaic to the courtyard. The breakfast Room was stunningly beautiful. The staff went out of their way to help us specially the owner Komil. The location was within 5 minutes to the main attraction.

DenmarkThe Komil was the most well-established hotel we stayed in during our trip to Uzbekistan (many other hotels have been established within the last 3-5 years), and it showed. Rooms were clean and well-appointed, and (as you can see in the photos) the hotel is beautiful. Pros: - Helpful staff. Staff was present and available to help with any need, and we were even kindly given a choice between many different rooms when we checked in (as things were quiet that morning, we were shown 5-6 rooms, and got to choose – all were beautiful and there were no wrong choices) - Excellent location. Walking distance from Bukhara's old town, but also easily accessible by taxi making venturing into the newer parts of the city very easy - Best breakfast we experienced in UZ Cons: - A larger hotel than many of the other, more 'homestay-like' properties in the area. This isn't necessarily a con, but just a consideration, as it also lends an air of professionalism

United Arab EmiratesWhat a splendid hotel! Spacious and beautifully decorated rooms. Our bathroom had an underfloor heating which was a pleasant bonus during a couple of chilly days. Great selection for breakfast, the dining area itself is absolutely stunning. Amazing experience overall, huge thanks to the warm and welcoming staff who are happy to go beyond to make you feel home.

United StatesOur room faced the atrium and it could get very loud in the mornings, but that is not the hotel’s fault. Laundry services were a little pricey, but they were super helpful about rushing to get our laundry back to us due to our early departure.
Honestly, the hotel and the rooms looked better in person than in the pictures! This hotel was very lovely, our room was very pretty and spacious. The bathroom was also nice - good water pressure, felt clean, and the shower always had hot water. Also, the hotel team were very kind! It was very helpful for us as that the hotel manager is near (if not fully) fluent in English, and the general staff had a basic understanding of the language as well. Great location for exploring old Bukhara. Good breakfast spread in a very beautiful dining room.

RussiaIt was a bit noisy - you can hear what's happening in the room opposite yours, but I guess not much can be done here - it's an old building. A couple of ergonomics moments could be improved - there is a kettle, but there's no socket anywhere near the table, but there are sockets near the bathroom where there's nothing to put the kettle on. The room is for 3 people but there's one chair (we coped with a bench, though) These little things didn't spoil our holiday, we really enjoyed our stay
A really atmospheric place in the Jewish mahalla. All the personnel is very friendly and helpful, and so is Komil, the owner. The room was absolutely lovely with all the traditional decorations, but also with necessary modern things: fridge, kettle, bath. The bathroom is clean and spacious, and the room has plenty of space, too. The beds are broad and comfortable. There's enough storage space. Another important thing is the climate in the room - it was about +28 outside but we didn't have to use the air conditioning - the room remained cool. The breakfast is varied and delicious - 3 kinda of porridge, crepes, cottage cheese. One can also relax in a yard with a nice cup of coffee

VenezuelaThe Komil is situated ideally in the old city, close to important sites and shops. The decor is very Persian, colourful and exotic. Each room has heated floors which is wonderful when the temperature is -15° outside. The wonderful staff provided a map to facilitate touring. Breakfast was delicious with many choices.

Close to the Old City. Walkable distance to most old city attractions. The room was really spacious and the toilet is big. Excellent breakfast in the morning, with variety of choices. A small mini market across the hotel, handy to get snacks/drinks without venturing out too far. The hotel owner, Mr Komil was really helpful (arranged for the transfer to and from the train station, all went smoothly). Please note that it is a cash only hotel (there is a notice at the booking.com page that indicate this so just make sure you have that)

The second time staying here. The first time as a solo-traveller and now with my husband, both times a wonderful stay in a very traditional bedroom. The location is very good and within walking distance from all the sights. We highly recommend booking a massage at the hotel. But the best thing is the breakfast, 5 years ago and now, definitely a reason to come here. Make sure to come here if you visit Bukhara.

My stay at Komil Bukhara Boutique Hotel was absolutely great 🇺🇿. I have chosen this hotel due to the beautiful decorations and mosaics. Each room has a different theme, and the owner is very warm and professional, allowing me to tour the facility. The hotel appears to be the top choice among visitors to Bukhara since it is also listed on many tour companies' itineraries. Excellent location, close to the city's main attractions by foot. The personnel were very professional and courteous.

IndiaNothing bad to say ! I highly recommend this hotel.
The location is in the old city, 10 mins walk from Lyabi plaza which is the main central square in the city and has plenty of restaurants. We were able to walk and this saved some transportation money !The property is very beautiful and definitely one of the most unique places we have stayed at. Room was huge and bathroom very clean. The staff were very helpful in everything and even exchanged a torn currency note which we had received from the airport money exchange. Arranged our train station transfers at late night. Buffet breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. I loved that the breakfast time was from 7am: this enabled us to have an early breakfast and leave for Poi Kalon complex to be present right at opening time! The dining room is 19th century and there are plenty of pretty INSTA spots in this hotel.
