Stay here (or elsewhere in the medina)
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Triple Room with Shared Toilet
    • Stayed 3 nights

No curtains and a street light shined right into my eyes. Beds were too hard, as everywhere in Uzbekistan.

If you stay in Bukhara, you must stay within the medina. Great location with a delicious (varying) breakfast in a local guesthouse where the family (owners) also lives.

Because of the old city sewage, the private rooms' shared restroom has a stench that may be bothersome. The noise insulation is not great either if you have rowdy travelers staying near your room.

Mohinur is a beautiful guesthouse where you stay with a family but also with fellow travelers. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the beautiful courtyard where I often return as a quiet refuge from the heat because it's so close to the historic centre yet far enough from the crowd. The room itself is also spacious and clean, and was very comfortable. I recommend this place and would stay here again when I return to Bukhara

This was my BEST stay in Uzbekistan. The location is absolutely excellent, all the attractions are within a 15 min walk on both sides. The home itself is stunning and instantly gives a homely vibe. The bathroom is soooo spacious and clean. The hosts are some of the kindest and most helpful people. I had my train to Khiva at 4 am and one of the local boys stayed up just to help me out with taxi. If you are coming to Bukhara you must stay here!!!

Clean and comfortable rooms. It was cold outside and the room was comfortably heated. Nice traditional Uzbek home, with tabchans for sitting on and relaxing or playing games. Close to kalan minaret. Walkable to other parts of the old city.

A great, inexpensive option in a very central location

When you first turn down the dark, narrow alley from the street to the hostel, you might be thinking you made a mistake. But once you enter the courtyard of this traditionally-designed home, you'll see why the reviews are so good. In addition to rooms, they offer transport to anywhere you want to go. They are not guides, but if you have a good guidebook to guide yourself, they can easily take you to popular places near town such as Chor Bakr or Naqshbandi. But when we went to some places further out such as Varakhsha, they sometimes didn't know the way or (in the case of Sarmysh Gorge) they didn't know where the good petroglyphs are. So be aware of that if you book trips with them.

The family welcomed me like a relative -- I arrived during their Ramadan feast, and they made a place at the table and gave me dinner. The house is very well located, halfway between the Ark and Lyab-i-hauz square, about 5 minutes' walk from the Kalyan Minaret. Rooms are comfortable, and it's quiet and easy to sleep. They have a washing machine which costs $2 per load to use. The breakfast is huge.

As is typical in Uzbekistan, the pillows were big and hard, and the bathroom smelled of the sewer.

The only thing that we had problem with was the fact that there was almost no surface in our room to keep our things on, so we had to store them on the floor.

Nice little family-run guest house. Great location. Great atmosphere. Delicious breakfast. The family was so nice to let us stay way past the check-out time as we had to wait in the town to catch the night train.

Really nice homestay!!! Everyone in the family was super sweet, the balcony was an amazing spot to just hang out, and the place is really cozy and bright. Breakfast was simple but nice, and internet worked well. This was actually our favourite place we stayed throughout our time in the whole country. We were originally asked to pay in addition for the tax fees (which was already included in the total price), but I think this was just an accident. Great place to stay and we would definitely come here again.

We booked a double room but were given a four-person hostel room when we arrived. The room itself was fine and we had it to ourselves, but we would have preferred the room we reserved.

Good central location, delicious and varied breakfasts, lovely courtyard, wonderful family, great Wi-Fi and a nice "elevated" hostel atmosphere!

We loved everything. Just wished we could stay longer!

We loved everything about our stay at Moxinur hostel. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and quiet, the courtyard is a lovely place to relax and the breakfast/lunch was delicious. The family who run the guesthouse are the most welcoming people you could meet and really made our stay extra special. Fully recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in the heart of Bukhara.
